I’ve played Cimarrone at least a handful of times over the last 3-4 years, and even though I’ve seen poor conditions, these are probably the worst I’ve seen and rival some of the worst in the area. I’ve heard that they’re under new ownership and that they’ve put “millions” into the course, though unless they buried that money somewhere under one of the holes, I couldn’t find anything improved whatsoever. Tee to green the course is in shambles. Tee boxes for the most part look rough and have tons of dirt patches and look like they don’t see rain, which is weird because the fairways are soggy. The fairways weren’t awful, but the lack of good drainage makes it tough to play good golf, which the Florida rain is making it tough for all courses. The greens are bumpy, slow, have bare patches and look like the surface of the moon, except a yellowish/light green color. Even for a hot deal price with additional rewards off, we were totally unsatisfied. Clubhouse very dilapidated though the staff and starter was very nice.

I used to be a member for years, and I’ve seen the course go through ups and downs with course quality, but I was shocked to see the current conditions. Tee boxes very rough, greens surprisingly brown and not grown in consistently, fairways with tons of unfilled divots and some bare spots, and a few fairways looked like the rough, which is quite rough. If you get a hot deal and have rewards codes, it’s worth it, if not I’d wait for conditions to improve.

Really fun layout - challenging at times and easy and rewarding at times. Gorgeous homes around the course to look at. Pro shop and range/cart staff very friendly, unlike some reviewers indicated. We look forward to trying the other courses on property.

Perfect Florida weather day, which helped, and the course wasn’t muddy, which also helped. Clubhouse and staff were lovely. Great selection of merchandise inside the pro shop. Pace of play was shockingly great…4 hr and 30 min round, which for a resort course is good. Course is really nice shape, green speed was very fair. Can’t wait to come back and play the other courses on property.

Tee to green course conditions are great. A little wet in some areas but that’s Florida in the summer. Cart staff friendly, pro shop staff is great, and bar staff phenomenal too. I got the mahi tacos after a solid round of golf and they were beyond tasty. Can’t wait to come back already!

I’ve played this course more than a handful of times over a few years and I haven’t noticed much change...from tee to green the course needs help. It’s not the worst at all, but far from the best. The par 3 tee box grass is the best grass on the course. Greens are decent but are always too long no matter the time of year. Fairways year-round have plenty of dirt/bare spots on edges and never really grow in plush and full. Cool layout and fun holes, but course conditions always disappoint.

Queen’s, like most of the NE FL courses, had a harsh winter and conditions were rough at times. Finally some warmth and sunshine is back and here to stay, and I can already see fairways filling in and becoming spongy again which is great. The greens as always are excellent and we’re not far off from Queen’s being the best looking course again under $50 in Jax.

First time here and definitely won’t be the last. I was shocked to see the size of the facility…from clubhouse to driving range etc etc. we played Crooked Cat today….great condition tee to green. Very playable course with forgiving fairways and playable rough. Taking on hole 9 as a drivable par 4 was fun, and I gave it a go and stuck the green about 20 feet from the stick and made the putt for Eagle which made the day even sweeter. We’ll be back soon for Panther Lake. Great staff also, very friendly and accommodating.

It had been a while since I’ve played Cimarrone and it was good to be back. Like most other people have said, the course really has a fun layout and the course has tons of potential if the greens were more refined and shorter. Several tee boxes were relocated for complete re-sodding which means by summer they’ll be nice.
Fairways could be more lush/full but aren’t bad. I think they’re working on the things I mentioned above, but all in all it was a fun round of golf and I’ll be back in a few months for sure.

Champion’s Gate impresses once again - tee to green the course was spectacular and the greens rolled perfect. Played my best ever round which helps of course but I’ve never not had a great time at either of the courses on property. We swap between National and International each time we play here and the two courses couldn’t be more different which we love.

Shingle Creek is a very nice course with plenty of challenges/water to keep you honest. When the course is in great shape I can see it’s a blast to play, but it appears about a week or two ago the greens were punched and the fairways were sanded which created slow and bumpy rolls and not the best club/turf interaction on some iron shots...for the money though can’t go wrong and I’ll be back when conditions improve.

I usually golf twice a week and strive to play different courses when possible, so it was time to give Grand Cypress a try. Reviews for the New course were very good so I came in with high hopes and we were not disappointed. The course was in excellent condition from tee to green, and pace of play happened to be very good, even with a crowded course. Fun layout with several semi-blind shots. We look forward to playing the other course that they offer the next time we head out.

First time playing Bent Creek, and just as reviews indicate, playing here is really awesome. Every hole feels so different; some holes are “gettable” and some challenging. The perfect weather today really helped enhance the experience, but i’d come back without even thinking twice.

First time playing this course and for the price you just can’t beat it. The layout is fun, and the back 9 was my favorite because of the difficult holes. Not much water or hazards, so posting a good score is definitely possible. Will play again.
