Today the course was in great shape. I caught a great deal at $41. I had to walk due to a tournament and was not pleased finding out the tournie was at 1:30 and they could have let me have one as i would have been back on time. Explaining I had a heart condition didn’t work. But. I didn’t die and had a great day on a beautiful morning.

Another great day and round at Golden Eagle. I do wish this place had a driving ranges. Considering the space they have, I have no idea why they dont. The north course takes driver out of your hands from the white tees. And 230 or so, I wan to be able to hit driver, especially on par 5s

The south course may seem short. But you need to know where you are going or you are looking a a bogey or worse.

I do wish this course had a driving range. Considering they have 36 holes. Not sure why they don’t have one

I like to play Guildford. But wow. The greens were in terrible shape. I walked around on each one and fixed 5 pitch marks on every hole.

This is partly the clientele. And partly maintenance.

Should have sent their Marshall out with a pitch mark tool and helped out. By far. The worst I have ever seen the greens.

It was a semi hot day for the GVRD area. so you can expect some firm and fast conditions. But many of the tee boxes were in horrible condition. Un even, bumpy, little to no grass. Some fairways were very unkepts and there were a few weird weeds that propped up here an there. But some holes are really hilly and maybe this can't be helped.

But the worse thing was pace of play. We started at 12:40, and did not finish up 5:45. We played as a twosome, behind a pretty quick threesome, and it was waiting on every shot, every tee box.

It was quirky, kinda fun. I will play again as I think they can do better.

Golden Eagle is a great 36 hole facility. We played the North course with two friendly members and we were treated nicely.

I played from the white tees and realized after the round that driver was taken out of my bag for the par 5s etc for the 9th. So next time I may play the blues on the 5s. But look forward to going out again

When I booked The tee time there was no notice of the winter layout. Or the punched and sandy greens. With the beautiful day, and the front nine being turned into 10 holes. The pace was awful. It took us 4.5 hours to play 15.

I do like this course because it is usually reasonable priced and the pace is always so bad. But this time not so much. N

I like Guildford and I will ask ways play it a few times a year.

But today it bordered on unplayable as it was so rain soaked.

I do like what they did to preserve 18 as a par four.

I really liked the North Course. A few surprises that would have been solved with patience and checking to see what was ahead. They have an app that I didn’t download and I wish I would have. Course conditions were excellent aside from tee boxes. But I think that is common right now.

Played this course as a single and was paired with a three some. That was fine and am always thankful when I can book as a single. It was a perfect day in BC. The fairways were in decent shape. Tee boxes not so much. Greens were in great shape, but furry and slow. There were a few holes I simply didn’t like. One in particular, a short par four (13 or 14) that was perhaps the narrowest hole I have ever seen. It looked like 1/2 hole. This is a place you have to play a bit to get used to what it is. Quirky. The value was great and worth the drive from North Van. I also know that the food facilities at this place are top notch

I was able to snag a cheap price ($20 USD) to play this gem. I was pleased. Course was in good condition, got paired with good people and the carts and GPS were great. I will be back.
