Executive at Boca Raton Municipal Golf Course
Played On 02/08/2019Very Nice Muni
There are two things that would keep me coming back; (1) The pace of play was great inspite of the fact that the course was fairly busy. Rangers were ever present and did their jobs well. Secondly,
the greens were beautifully maintained....readable, not "gimicky", fair and moderately fast. Congrats to the greenskeeper! A pleasant round of golf on a nice muni.
The Champions Club at Summerfield
Played On 02/03/2019Tennis Anyone?
This is a nice course, however, I don't have 6 plus hours to play a round of golf. We followed several foursomes, all of whom spent most of their time looking for balls. Please tell me why guys feel the need to hit from the back tees if they can't keep the ball in the fairway. Took 1 1/2 hours to play four holes of golf! Where's the ranger??? Ended up quitting after four. Time to find a new sport. Tennis anyone?
Jupiter Dunes Golf Course
Played On 01/18/2019No Carts???
My wife and I drove 45 minutes to check in for a 12:30 tee time which included a cart, only to find that they had no carts available and wouldn't for another hour! Since I have a bad knee and we could not afford to add an additional hour to a round of golf, we left.
How can you take a tee time reservation with cart included and not have carts? We won't be back.

Played On 07/31/2018Nothing Special
Truthfully, this is an ok course for the money but hardly one I’d go out of my way to play. The greens were bumpy and “patchy”, not terribly consistent. Fairways were a little boggy, no doubt due to the persistent rains.
Madison Green Country Club
Played On 12/24/2017"Speed me Up Scotty"
First the good. The greens and the fairways were in nice shape, and the layout is both fun and challenging.
I'd say 60% of the traps were in great shape and the other 40% a a little rough. Overall a course I would definitely put on the "play" list.
Unfortunately the pace of play was dismally slow. Literally waited on every shot, starting on the first tee.The joys of playing a public course on the weekend. Players hitting multiple shots, searching for balls and playing water retrieval. "Speed me up Scotty!"
Hawk's Landing Golf Club
Played On 10/29/2017Pleasant surprise
The course is much improved since I last played it some years back. The greens were perfect and the layout both interesting and enjoyable. The sand traps were filled with fluffy white sand and played like “butter”. The windy conditions made the course extremely difficult this day, especially approach shot on 18, but a great experience nonetheless.
Tranquilo Golf Club at Four Seasons Resort Orlando
Played On 08/19/2017Zen Golf Experience
The course had recently been punched, sliced and top dressed but we knew that upfront and the greens fees were reduced accordingly. By fall, this course will be awesome (and expensive)! The entire staff were helpful, friendly and "first class" all the way. The course has a scenic layout that winds through trees, marsh and water providing ample opportunities to view the local wildlife. A very relaxing and zen like golf experience. Enough sand traps and water hazards to keep you honest but not ruin your day. Great experience!

Played On 05/27/2017Red/Blue at Westchester Golf & Country Club
Played On 01/01/2017Nice Course
Played the Blue and Red courses (in that order) and had an enjoyable and very fast round of golf; Played 18 holes in about 2:15 minutes! Although very much a typical Florida course winding through a never ending array of patio homes, there were some very interesting doglegs and water/sand hazards that held your attention. The red course fairways seemed to be in better condition but the greens and traps on both courses were well maintained. All and all a nice experience. Really enjoyed the "target" golf layout on some of the shorter holes.
Atlantic National Golf Club
Played On 12/18/2016Never on a Sunday
I've played this course during the off season and enjoyed it very much. The course has an interesting and thoughtful layout and is well conditioned; greens, traps and fairways well maintained and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Having said that, however, I will never play here again on a Sunday during season. The pace of play was so slow, my playing partner read the newspaper on every tee and managed to finish it before the 10th hole. Needless to say we quit after nine and opted to watch football instead (far more relaxing).
Thank you for playing with us! We are shocked to hear that you didn't thoroughly enjoy your round due to slow play in front of you. We strive to keep a 4:15 pace. We hope to provide you with a quality golf experience again in the near future. Happy Holidays from all of us at Atlantic National!
Palm Beach National Golf Course
Played On 12/04/2016Enjoyable Course
Overall the course was in very good shape. The greens and fairways were well maintained; greens ran true to a moderate speed. Tee boxes were a bit "scratchy" in some areas but certainly nothing to complain about.
The course is well designed with an equal measure of sand and water hazards, providing a challenging but fun day of golf.
Only short coming was on the amenities side of the equation; no GPS, no beverage/snack cart.
Sandhill Crane Golf Club - Championship Golf Course
Played On 11/06/2016Puts the "Fun" back in Golf
I think anyone can enjoy playing this course. Although it's short (under 6400 yards) for the big hitters, it has some longer and very challenging par 5's and 3's if played from the back tees. The layout is just plain fun and offers some great scenery. Greens were fast but fair and in very good shape. The fairways were well conditioned but cut a bit short for my liking; nothing I couldn't get used to, however. Also, the layout makes you think about club selection and ball placement; not the kind of course you pull driver on every hole.
Disney's Palm Golf Course
Played On 01/26/2016A nature lover's delight
Although I played horribly, I really enjoyed the course layout and peace and tranquility of this course. A true nature lover's dream, we encountered deer, wild turkey, and assortment of birds and a couple of alligators for extra measure. The greens were pro quality fast but true and in great shape considering the amount of play they receive. Lots of well maintained sand traps and plenty of water hazards to go around. A good test of golf but a bit "pricey". I'll play it again when the rates are a little lower during the off season.
Celebration Golf Club
Played On 01/25/2016Long day at the course
Normally you don't expect to encounter a frost delay in Florida but it happens and today was the day. We arrived at the course at 10:00 am and left at 5:30 pm.
Needless to say, the pace of play was slow and not a "fun" day of golf. The course however was in decent shape; fast true greens and a challenging layout.
The fairways and tee boxes were a little sparse and "scratchy" but typical of a course that gets a lot of play. All things considered, this course was a bit "pricey". I suggest playing it during the off season.
Park Ridge Golf Course
Played On 12/27/2015No In Between
I've been playing golf since I was 16 years old (I'm now 63) and in all my years I don't think I've ever played a course with a "goofier" layout. A myriad of blind shots, never quite knowing what club to select or what lied ahead. To complicate matters, many of the tee boxes hadn't been mowed for quite sometime; pace of play, just horrible....waited on every shot from first tee to final approach on the 18th. There is no in between here. You will either love this course or hate it. I hated it but my wife loved it and shot her best round ever........go figure!
Thank yo for your review of Park Ridge. We are sorry to hear that you did not fully enjoy your round in the same way that your wife did. There is no question that our course includes some blind shots, which is one of the reasons our loyal guests find the course so interesting to play. In regards to tee boxes, we strive to mow the tee boxes every other day and our records indicate that they were mowed on December 26, the day before you visited us.We will check to ensure that our staff is following the necessary protocols in course maintenance so that the facility is being properly maintained.
As you probably know, pace of play is an issue that affects golf courses nationwide and is one that we continually keep watch on. Our goal is to keep a four hours and 15 minutes pace for 18 holes. We will review your comments with our rangers to make sure they are encouraging this pace among our golfers.
Eagle/Osprey at Okeeheelee Golf Course
Played On 11/28/2015Needs a little TLC
I have mixed feelings about this course. One one hand, I really enjoyed the overall layout, as well as the design and placement of hazards. Nature abounds including a sleeping alligator, for good measure. The downside for me however, was the condition of the greens and tee boxes. Apparently, the majority of golfers playing Okeeheelee don't own a divot repair tool of understand what the sand mix is used for. Can't really blame the grounds crew for this. Perhaps the Starter could take a more active role in educating the public on the need to repair ball marks and divots.
This could be a great course with a little TLC but still a good value and worth playing.
Thank you for sharing your experience at Okeeheelee with us. We appreciate that you enjoyed the layout of the course as well as the flora and fauna that populate our facility. We also understand the frustration associated with finding tee boxes and greens that have not been repaired by golfers and are in the process of implementing a program that will help educate all golfers in ways to help our golf course maintenance crew keep the course in top condition. We hope to see you at Okeeheelee again soon.
Palm Beach Golf Course
Played On 10/18/2015A Gem
I generally don't like par 3 courses but this course is a gem. Nice little layout, nicely maintained (greens are awesome) and terrific water views on several holes. Perfect for the husband and wife or the family who needs to play golf but doesn't want to spend 4 1/2 hours on the course. Can be very challenging on a windy day but just a lot of fun to play!
Osprey Point Golf Club - Hawk/Raven Course
Played On 10/16/2015Finally!!
I moved to Palm Beach County about a year ago and have been looking for a "public" course in the area worth going back to. Finally I found one!
This course is nicely laid out, has a "links" feel to it and is very close to perfectly maintained. Trust me, it is well worth playing and a great value.
Thank you for your review of Osprey Point and welcome to Palm Beach County. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the course so much and found it to be an excellent value for your golfing dollars. We take pride in maintaining our course at “championship” level conditions and are happy to hear that you found it to be in excellent shape. We look forward to seeing you at Osprey Point again soon.
Thank you so much for the 5-Star rating and for taking time to share your experience with us. We have been working very hard on the conditions of the golf course since Hurricane Irma made a mess of our place. We hope to see you again very soon and thank you again!
Good Golfing!!
