Dobson Ranch Golf Course
Played On 02/20/2021Very slow
Scheduled an 18 hour round on a Saturday. Tee times were 15 min behind. Took 2 hours and 45 min to play 9. Pro shop was accommodating and gave us rain check as there would be no way to finish another 9 before dark. Pro shop and other staff very friendly. Course in good shape. Would a be a good value if pace of play was better.
Apple Nine at Lyman Orchards Golf Club
Played On 07/03/2017great course for a casual round
this course is great for a quick, low key round especially with kids who don't play often. I usually go late afternoons/early evenings, especially sunday evening and there is no problem with pace of play. course is in nice condition and the holes are challenging enough that you have to hit good shots to score. only things i would change are greens could be a little quicker and they need a 19th hole.
Rockledge Country Club
Played On 06/03/2017outstanding public course
This course is always exceptionally well maintained and is one of the best municipal courses in the state. A very fun course to play and reasonably priced. a good mix of moderate and more difficult holes. generous fairways and very forgiving even if you miss those. hard to lose a ball here unless you go in the drink. if you hit well, you can score here. The 6th iand 9th are par 5s that tempt big hitters to go in two and the 16th is one of the best par 3s in CT.
Prestwick Country Club
Played On 08/17/2016very difficult course for average golfers
this is a tough course. requires target golf with accurate shots. poor shots will end up in very difficult places. very hard to score even if you are striking the ball well. high handicappers will have a very difficult time.
Man O' War Golf Course
Played On 08/16/2016great, fun course for all levels
after 20 plus years in MB, this is my favorite course. always in great shape and a good mix of interesting holes. as a 10 handicap, it's challenging enough and i can post a score if I am ball striking well. also fun for high handicappers like my father-in-law. hard to find courses in MB where all handicap levels have fun at the same time and this is one of the few.
