We had a 1:30 tee time, so expected to get the round in before dark. No such luck! They had had a frost delay in the morning, so were a 30-minute delay. But the pace was so slow it took 2:45 to play the front nine. Moved a little quicker on the back and was getting dark on the 15th. Might have got 16 holes in, but they turned the sprinklers on! Everything else was fine, but the extremely slow pace made it a frustrating day.

Layout and proximity to ocean and views were very good. Played by myself — two balls from tee to cup — in 3.5 hours in the mid morning on a perfect day. Overall, course conditions were very good EXCEPT the bunkers — beautiful white sand with plenty of sand, but it was apparent they hadn’t been dressed in at least a couple of days. No rakes, which I guess is understandable with covid, but they could at least drag them every morning.

Great layout — not a ‘trick’ hole on the course. Very nice condition. Very congenial staff. Played as a single on an early Friday afternoon in just under three hours. Only minor gripe is with the bunkers — they were a little ‘chunky’ and I don’t think it was only because golfers in Hawaii apparently have an aversion to raking bunkers! It looked to me that they probably don’t dress them in the morning every day. All in all, though, very enjoyable.
