We played the Linjs today. The weather was perfect - high 70’s, mild breeze, perfect day. This was a challenging course that with some rework of the fairways(planned for later this year) will be fantastic. Since it was our first time here we were not knowledgeable of the course and were misled on a couple of holes by the layout. Nevertheless less, we liked the Links style with sand and “Berns” throughout the course - but all in So. Cal, style. Whole there course does not emote visions of Scotland, the course plays well - lots of running room, the undulating greens were fast and tricky and overall it challenged us. I would like to come back in the fall, when the grooming is complete, and see what it looks like then. Being from St. Louis it will require a special effort to visit family to do this.

Let me add the staff was fantastic. They went out of their way to make us comfortable, and they were really friendly. Definitely a course to come back to

For $11.00 for 18 holes I thought this was a great deal. Unfortunately not so much. The course is mostly crabgrass and dirt, due to recent rains it was still very wet and smelled like sewage. The layout would have been interesting if the fairways were properly cut. However, due to water and poor drainage it was pretty bad playing out there. And the sewage smell or gray water - whatever it was, was everywhere. I will not be back.

I've played Quail Creek many times before this year and always found it to be lacking - very high price for the quality of golf and course conditions. This year was not much different, although I have to say the greens were in better shape and the fairways were okay. We played on the fourth of July and thank goodness we went through Golf Now for a tee time . At $21 plus fees it was a good deal for all of us. The holiday rate for the course is $45 and for that it really wouldn't have been worth it. There was not much activity on the course when we started at 8:30 AM and the play was not too bad for a holiday. We never had to wait for a shot. That said, the course conditions were murky - the fairways were not well cut or defined and the greens, while in better shape than in other years, still need some work. It was really hot (96, with HI of over 100) but with a breeze and overcast it was not really bad. Would I play there again - I don't know. There are a lot of courses that have a more reasonable rate and in better condition that Quail creek.

?A friend & I played there after work on June 27. We will not be back. While the greens are in great shape, the fairways are in poor condition and will take a lot of work to get then playable. I don't like hitting off hardpan dirt or clumps of crabgrass - if you do then this place is amazing. I know this is now under Walters Golf Management and in a year or 2 will be a nice place to play - and with a price of 18 holes for $20 with a cart this was a good deal. However, the heat was oppressive and with no wind we quit after 9 holes. Because the course is still being renovated there was no real clubhouse and no place to get a drink and relax. By the end of the season it will be more functional - and the renovation is entirely necessary - but I will not be back until they are finished with the upgrade. This could be a really nice course, but needs a lot of care and rebuilding the holes. Fairways are non-existent, but the greens are very nice.

I played Annbriar with a friend and a discount through online booking. While it was a week day, the price was right, there was little to no traffic and the day was hot but clear. We really enjoyed our round and the course is in excellent shape. We had fun, played as well as we could, and enjoyed the time. After we had a couple of beers in the bar and cooled off. Tha was the best part of the day - but it was really good to play a course that had challenge and was in excellent shape. The weekend full price of $72 per is too rich for my blood, but I will gladly play again during the week.

The course was in great shape for early spring, considering the 12" snowfall the weekend before. Greens were fast and tight, tee boxes were a bit sparse, but overall the course was in great shape. The value for the money was very good. I just wish the yahoos in front of us played faster. We had to wait on every hole for these guys, who never even thought about letting us play through. Once the season heats up I hope the marshalls get out and speed up the play (Note - we finished in less than 4 hours anyway!)
