The Links at Stono Ferry
Played On 07/22/2019Must Play if in Charleston
My wife and I stopped in on our way to Kiawah. This course has come along way since I first played it in the 90's. Tee to green is as good as a private course. Great practice facilities and great helpful staff. Great layout as you go out and come back without seeing everyone else that is in on the course. Don't miss out on this one even though it is a little bit of a drive to get there. You won't be disappointed.
Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club

This course is a great course to see if you are as good as you think you are. I have played it from the tips and the men's tees. It is all you want from the tips. Played probably one of my best rounds ever and shot 73. The course is very scenic and requires a lot of different shots. The course has always been in good to great shape when we have played. If you are on the south end of the beach then add this one to your list. I believe pricing was reasonable as well.
World Tour Golf Links

This course was in awful shape. The greens were bad. The fairways were bad. This course was just plain bad. It is comparable to a $25 municipal course. If you want to throw money have at it. I have played the World Tour in Houston and it was worth it. This one is on our list of courses not to play EVER again on our annual golf trip. We are down in April and August/September every years.
Prestwick Country Club

This course is not worth your time if you can get on somewhere else. Typical yankee starters that never ride the course to ensure everyone is in their correct position on the course.
