A must play of playing in the Cincinnati area!

All three nines are in excellent condition. Each nine has its own personality, with the south probably the most memorable. Beautiful tree lined fairways and a variety of trees to challenge all levels of players. The club house is a remodeled dairy milking barn that was built in the 1850s. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I will play here every time I get to the Cincinnati area.

A must in the Phoenix area to play

My first time playing Moon Valley. The course has a wonderful history with the LPGA and the clubhouse has many pictures showing past champions. Moon Valley is where Annika Sorenstam shot 59. I have no idea how she shot 59 on the course, it's not that easy. It was an enjoyable round on a course that was in excellent condition.

Liability Insurance?

We had played seven holes and a guy came by in a cart and told us we had to have the carts in by 5:45 for liability insurance reasons. We skipped four holes on the back and were hitting our approaches to eighteen at 5:50 and the same guy came by and said that we had to pick up our balls and quit. We had at least 45 minutes of daylight left and a whole 5 to 10 minutes to finish up.

I have never heard of a golf course with a liability insurance policy where carts had to be in off the course 45 minutes to an hour before darkness, plus we were not told of any such restrictions when we signed for the carts. I will never play Arizona City again.

Fun to think about the history here.

My first time playing the Karsten course at ASU. Pretty fun layout. A nice variety of holes from easy to very challenging. From the back tees, some of the holes would be unreachable for me in regulation, but I am just average in distance. They are getting ready to aerify the greens, but when I played, they were pretty quick and pretty true. The staff were nice and I had an enjoyable time. It's a course that I would reccommend to everyone to play when in the Valley. Thinking about the people that have walked those fairways was fun, too.

Weird Rules at Troon facilities

Learned that if you book a tee time on Golfnow from a Troon facility and it includes range balls, it is for before the round, not after. There are times I want to hit some balls after my round to work on something, but not if you book a tee time on Golfnow. Didn't leave a good taste for one of the courses I really enjoy playing.

Fantastic Course!

Ocotillo on the day i played was in as good of condition any course i have played in a very long time. The greens played exactly how they are supposed to, receive a good shot and let a bad shot roll away. They were fast as nearly anything i have ever been on and they rolled true. If you started it on the proper line, it had a chance to go in. I really can't say enough about the staff and the facilities at Ocotillo. You'll thoroughly enjoy your visit. I will say, if it is your first time playing, use the card with the hole diagrams on it. There is a lot of water and out is pretty accurate to let you know where it is.

Could be great again

I played Ahwatukee Country Club because of the price and tee time available. I called a friend of mine after I played and he said that it used to be one of the gems in the Valley with a men's club that was second to none. He had played the course a couple months ago and thought that it was sad as to the condition that the course is in now. The tees were average, fairways below average, and greens were decent. The layout seems to have a lot of par fours that look very similar at around 400 yards. There were two pars threes that were memorable, but other than that, there isn't a lot at this course. I hope that they are able to figure out how to get the course back into a condition where golfers will want to go play there. I played early morning and had to wait to hit on several holes due to people walking their dogs. A unique experience, to say the least where people just walk across a fairway and the golfer waits.

Best value in town

The course is in fantastic shape. The day I played they were lightly topdressing the greens and they still putted quick and true. The best surfaces I have putted all winter. The fairways were tightly mown and the course was in overall great shape. If you have not played Bear Creek, do yourself a favor and go play. The tees are set up that any skill level of player can enjoy themselves. Jack Nicklaus designed the course with holes from relative easy to tougher. Play smart and you can get around Bear Creek with a good score and proud of it.

Greens are in fantastic shape!

Course was a little on the wet side, but overall the conditions were excellent. The greens shocked me at their speed, they played quick and true. I was super impressed and can't wait to get back and play again.

Always fun to play this course

I really enjoy playing Nicklaus designed courses because you can see and feel what he was thinking when he was laying the course out. The course was in great shape except the greens were a little rough due to prep for overseeding. They still rolled decent and just playing the course again was a fun experience.
