Have been playing this course for years when at the beach and it never disappoints. Always in very good condition. The greens could have been a hair faster but understandable for winter. Other than that they were pure and rolled true. This course to me has wider landing areas than most Hilton Head Courses which I like. Also pace of play was really good for a packed Saturday. It’s a championship course that does not beat you up, but has great features. Definitely will visit again.

Love this course. Played it years ago and was in Arizona and played it again. Greens are really challenging and fast. Good golfers will really enjoy playing this course. Great views . Great desert golf..

The first 8 holes were forward tee only as they just resided their other tees. The course is short anyway but that made it really disappointing. Wish that was disclosed.

This course has a decent layout but the greens were horrible. They have planted rye grass on top of bermuda and then are not cutting low enough and these were the slowest and bumpiest greens I have pitted on in some time. Simply out was miserable.

Had another great round Mount Vintage. Appreciated all the COVID-19 measures they have in place. Spray the carts off and then power wash after each use. They don’t touch the pencils or score cards you pickup your own off a table no one has touched. No rakes. Foam in cups to keep you from having to reach in the hole. No rakes. In bunkers. Individual carts for those not in the same household. Only two people in the pro shop at a time.. can only ride in a cart with someone else if you live in the same household. Greens were superb. David and his staff go above and beyond. Just a great time.

This was the third time I have played the course in the past couple of months. One of the best values in the CSRA. You can tell Mount Vintage has new management with rebuilt bunkers, a great range and practice area, and friendly helpful staff. It was awfully wet from all the rain and yet every bunker had been raked and manicured. The Independence 9 is my favorite. Wide open. Does not beat you up but tough to score your best with the contours and nuisances of the terrain and greens. I just love this golf course.

This course has a great layout, but the greens are Bermuda and are very very slow with a lot of grain and are spotty with dirt in some spots. We played on a Saturday morning after the Fourth of July and they had not been mowed in a few days and they were bumpy from being punched a few weeks ago it appears without any sand being out on them. If they just mowed them more often they would improve dramatically. There are better alternatives for the same price in the Blufton area. Entire group agreed when we come back to Hilton Head, which we do often, we will not play it again.

Price was very good for the money. The greens were very Augusta like, undulated and fast. If you miss the green in the wrong spot up and down is tough. Condition was good. Older homes around but very good traditional course. Bunkers give false sense of how much landing room there is.
