Greens are not good for rolling the ball. They need another two weeks to heal. Should not have played. Too many 3 putts and chipping was not good.

They have been working on the greens and currently they will need two more week before the ball will roll properly due to their healing.. The 11th and 17th greens are suffering again. Right now you do not get the normal roll on the fairways.

Played today and the course was busy---why because they had an aeration special of $25 on Pine Barrens. There was no notice of that on your website and our charge was $34 plus tax. I had a golf pass monthly reward that I used. Would you want to putt on greens like that when you went to play a course. There are other courses in central Florida you can play without having that problem.You in the pass let golfers know when there was something like aeration and the conditions were not up to par.

Being a golf now vip for several years, I become upset when I book tee times to find the course is being worked on when I start to play. It is important for the course to let GN know what conditions are going to be taking place the day of play. This was not a pleasing day for us to be playing at Royal Oaks. First problem was the greens were sanded and they were putting water to them . The ball picked the sand up and putting was not a pleasure. Next thing that was a problem was the fact they were using powerful spray to treat the greens and aprons to kill insects on the course. We were rushed to stay ahead of the contarted equipment that was injecting the surface. Why did they even have a tee time if they knew this was going be scheduled ? Plus the workers who were pulling cups as soon as we walked off the greens would drive up and talk while we were putting. Poor management I would say. Normally I enjoy this course but today we should have not played. It was a waste of time and money.

The layout's condition continues to get better. The reason I say this is because the bunkers have improved a bunch. Most are now playable from. Overall the greens are very good. Weeds are not in them and few in the fairways. The fairways could be ticker with grass but not unplayable. This will not happen until next season since growing season is over here in Ocala. It is a good value with other places charging so much.

Fairways are tight and need more sand in bunkers. The greens need rolling--- they are bumpy. Greens could be in danger if they are exposed to very cold weather. Pace of play very good. Would play again-good for the ego.

I am sorry to see fall come to this area. The oak trees are dropping their leaves and they are blowing all over the course. you can hit the ball in the fairway and loose the ball under the leaves. you must keep your eyes on where you hit it or you may not find it. Irma damage is still in the roughs and lots of leaves there. Otherwise it is a nice place to play at. Weeds are on some greens and dollar weeds on the tees.

It is a pleasure to play at Candler Hills. When you arrive the bag drop area always have a helpful person, who is there to serve you. Mike, Bob, and John always take care upon your arrival. Then going inside to pay, you meet Karen and the pro Denise who always greet you in a friendly manner. The starters always are informative. The rangers keep play moving and offering ice and water for refills. The restrooms are always clean to your liking. This staff you would have to say is tops.

Although there is not a range, the course offers more then enough when playing. It is a lot of fun to play because of the layout. The staff is very good. A ranger came out on the back nine when the weather was threating and told us where the closest shelter would be if continuing to play. In all my 50 plus years of playing, no ranger has ever made a trip to let me know. That's customer service!

The rough needs cutting---you will find it no matter how good a golfer you are and the ball will be very hard to find. The fairways are the best I have played off there in six years---no more tight lies. The greens have been worked on and good improvement for this time of year. Some attention needs to be directed at the bunkers because of all the rain.

The staff at Candler Hills is excellent---from the time you drop your clubs at the bag drop, check in, on the course rangers, and back in to bag pick up. Denise has a good team and her leadership shows. It truly makes you feel like you are a member at a private club. Also the carts are the cleanest around Ocala clubs.

The greens were in good shape like most of the rest of the golf course. I would rank it with the Muni, Candler Hills, and Stone Creek here in north central Florida for conditions and enjoyment to play. Staff too are very funny like the rest of these courses.

The cups were cut for the Marion Masters. The cups need to be on the greens in positions that are 6 easy, 6 medium, and 6 challenging. Hopefully this will be addressed. Otherwise what a fun place to play. I'll be back soon.

Candler Hills is an excellent place to play with it's friendly staff to welcome you. The play is on a well conditioned course and the pace of play is very good. One of the best places to go play in central Florida. You can't help but enjoy.
