About
I swung a club for the first time in July of 2012. I started playing shortly after and quickly found that I really enjoy the game. I play as often as possible now trying to get better. I have a long way to go but am enjoying my new hobby and making some par's here and there.

Pinecrest Golf Course
Played On 11/11/2013Nice little par 3 executive course for quick short game practice.
Nice little course perfect for practicing 90 to 125 yd shots and excellent greens. Great pace of play, good staff, well maintained. I've played a couple times here and will again.
Seminole Lake Country Club
Played On 4/9/2013Misleading advertising but good course
Beware: Despite the course claim/ad description that 18 holes comes with lunch, drink and driving range balls, they DO NOT honor this for golfnow customers. I reserved this deal, traveled a little further and arrived early to take advantage of the deal but the course would not provide it. I did play but did not get the advertised and paid for in advance deal. I even spoke to a manager that said they do not do that deal for Golfnow reservations - even though he saw the advertisement. That said I liked the course. The greens were the best I have played down here. The pace of play was good. I enjoyed the course but the misleading deal will likely keep me from going there again soon.
Cove Cay Golf Club
Played On 4/8/2013Very challenging course, great views, tewrrible greens and in need of a ranger
The best part of this course was the cart girl, she came often and was very personable! The next best thing was the views, excellent in some areas. The staff was not overly friendly to a non-member anyway. The pace was slow due to the two foursomes in front of me spending plenty of time using their ball retrievers to fish out balls from the many water hazards. Not their own balls mind you, just all they could find. this slowed the pace for everyone but they would just resume play until the next water hazard and would not wave people through. They were members and didn't mind slowing the pace for others. I don't mean to be negative but these were easily the worst greens I have played on in FL too. I played for $25 from Golfnow, would not do that again. If they had a $12 deal I might give it another try but it was not worth $25.
Lansbrook Golf Club
Played On 3/21/2013Very nice course, enjoyed playing there
Some challenging holes and good course overall. Greens were nice and the pace of play was good. I would play here again, very nice course.
Crescent Oaks Country Club
Played On 3/20/2013Lots of water and challenges but very nice course
I found this course very challenging but very enjoyable. I lost several balls in various waters but it only made me want to play again and do better. I saw many types of birds that added to the courses beauty. Very good pace on the front nine but caught up with a couple groups on the back nine that slowed us a bit but still a decent pace, better than other courses in the area. I got a great deal from Golfnow and gave the course a try and was very happy I did.
Chi Chi Rodriguez Golf Club
Played On 3/19/2013Good course for less experienced golfers like myself
I was expecting a tougher course but found it to be within my modest capabilities. There are plenty of challenges and it was not easy for me but it was forgiving in more areas than not. I played there several times in the course of a couple weeks and my only complaint would be the pace of play. Each time it was slow, very slow, lots of waiting. One day I quit on the 13th hole after playing well over 5 hours to get there. Also not a big deal to me but there is no drinking (beer) on this course.
The Spruce Creek Preserve Golf Club
Played On 3/11/2013Nice course
I played it three times while in the area. Good course but plays slow. Grounds are hard and fast, lots of areas with out grass and plenty of leaves to slow balls. Overall enjoyable and a great value.
