Called in advance to ask if greens were recently "punched". Was told "no", not until 10 May. Arrived and warmed up on chipping green. Left wedge on practice green. No one turned it in. Someone stole it. Tee'd off on first hole. Fairway was in good shape. When we approached green to putt, the green was completely washed out from water saturation. Impossible to putt due to exposed roots To our surprise, EVERY green was in this condition. Dirt & exposed roots. If the young lady would have been honest with me, we would have waited until groundskeeper performed landscape maintenance before playing. Instead, we drove over 30 miles to be disappointed. Recap. Club theft and horrible greens. That sums up our experience.

First time playing this course. Course was in great shape from T- boxes to greens. ALL water hazards were full making the course visibly appealing. Noticeably absent were weeds along cart paths, around & on greens. Areas typically allowed to become overgrown have been cut back / reducd to allow for a clean & professional look.. Kudos to the GC ground crew & staff for their hard work! I will be back.

Check-in process was not smooth. No record in GC system so I had to provide proof via celll phone of GolfNow reservation. Required to show military ID. Why ..Lackland AFB not required?
Range ball machine malfunction caused delay in warm up.
You can tell grounds crew working hard to make T-box, fairway and greens improvements. Bunkers were essentially black dirt. Was informed by a "regular" that bunkers would be filled in & covered with grass to improve tempo of play. KUDOS to maintenance crew. Once their improvement plan is completed, the course should be in good shape-

Course is in excellent shape. Would help the pace of play more if there was a Marshall touring. Today there wasn't one. The staff are always friendly. I recommend this course because it seems to be always well maintained. JULIANNA'S restaurant serves the best food in the area IMHO-

The course needs some serious upkeep. Weeds near the greens, the sand traps are dirt and rock. ..no sand. The weed issue off the fairways are knee high and if your ball rolls into this unkept area, you just accept that you lose your ball. If the rough was properly cut & maintained, then you can easily play on. This course is a huge disappointment considering the USAF should have its courses comparable to civilian courses.

Checked in an hour before T-time to hit practice balls, The check-in/ starter (Paul) seemed a bit grumpy. He told me twice, "Don;t start until I call you." OK, got it. So less than 15 minutes into hitting a large bucket he calls me on the sound system along with my partner to the No.1 tee box immediately. Then again within 30 seconds of the first notification. {Someone's hair was on fire?} Essentially, we were prevented from warming up prior to our round- As I was at the first tee box , Paul calls me inside to the starter counter, I go from the 1st tee-box to the door and he pokes his head out and tells me "you can go" . Wow, What's the hurry, pushing us out 30 minutes earlier than our Tee time, without being able to hit balls when no one was behind us waiting- The course greens were soaked, slow and needed to be cut, The fairways were dried out with numerous leaks in the sprinkler system which caused "pools of standing water" and" sizeable mud-holes" caused by carts intentionally driving thru flooded area's. No Marshall-
This course needs a lot of work-Need to hire more grounds crew to work on the sprinkler system and to remove the thick clover and weeds surrounding the greens. Maybe talk to the inside help and discuss what customer service is include that knowledge when interacting with paying customers. Safe to say, we won't be back anytime soon.

The course was in good shape, however, the bunkers were in need of a little TLC ; i.e., pull weeds and a good rake-. The undermanned-staff was friendly and responsive. A great course to work on your longer, par -3 iron game. Will definitely be back.
