Ashland Country Drive 9 Hole Course

While fairly flat, the course has excellent greens and enough mounds, turns, and hazards to challenge most golfers. The greens were in very good condition. There were a few spots near some greens that were wet and soft where drainage could be improved. Fairways were in good condition. The tee boxes were mostly in good condition, but several could use some improvement.

Excellent Centura Hills in Cairo, Nebraska

The course conditions were excellent, much better than all the other courses we have played this year in central Nebraska. The greens were fast, smooth, and putted true. The tee boxes were in great shape and level. There are a variety of tee boxes to choose from. The sand bunkers were nicely maintained with adequate sand. There was not anything that I did not like about our round. We plan to visit Centura Hills again in the near future. My only complaint - the ball washers need to be cleaned out and re-filled.

Wide fairways, super fast greens, lots of tee boxes.

Wild Horse is a great course, but not for the true beginner, nor for the golfer who plays from tees too far back for their ability. If you play from the proper tees using the guide on the score card, you will experience one of the best golf courses in Nebraska. I am a 10 handicap and I played using the hybrid tees (great idea) that is a mixture of the black and silver tees to give you yet another yardage total for the golf course that is between the black and silver tee yardages. The separate yardage card is a very handy to figure out how far everything is from the tee and from the green. If you play Wild Horse in the wind, I recommend moving up to the next closer set of tees. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Clubhouse is beautiful with retail, large grill\bar, and great views of the golf course. This is a true dunes style golf course with no housing bordering the fairways. There are some houses, but they are not very close to the course.
