West/North at Meriwether National Golf Club
Played On 06/27/2017Course seems to be lacking
Went out for a quick 9 holes yesterday only to find that Meriwether has decided to close up the South Course. We played the North course and from the start, it was bad. $18 for 9 holes considering how many weeds were on the fairways, and how most of the fairways had huge cracks in them. I will definitely not be coming back for awhile.
Langdon Farms Golf Club
Played On 05/24/20171st time playing and will be back for sure
Decided to play Langdon Farms at the last minute so we got a late tee time around 5:57 pm. $15 to get in as many holes as you could. We ended up getting in 15 before darkness won out. It was my 1st time playing here and I absolutely loved every minute of it. The staff were super friendly, the starter was a nice dude, and I loved the layout of the course. Easily to walk as well. My only suggestion I would like to see is to maybe add a course layout to the scorecard, or at the start of the holes, add a overall layout of the hole so for people playing the course for the 1st time, it would be nice to see where all the hazards are before teeing off. Other than that, I will gladly come back and play more here.
Cross Creek Golf Course
Played On 04/29/2017Not bad considering all the rain
Finally a sunny day in Oregon so my buddies and I went down and played Cross Creek. It has rained a ton here this winter/spring so we knew going in the course was going to be soft, but the fairways were actually in pretty good shape considering all the rain. We were impressed. Love the layout of the course, and the feel of the course. The greens were in amazing shape. Guys inside were nice and cordial. Would gladly drive back down and play again.
Sunset Grove Golf
Played On 07/26/2016Excellent 9 hole course
I have played Sunset Grove more time than I can count. If you love wide forgiving fairways, then you will love Sunset Grove. Everybody is super nice, and we have never had any problems. Pin placements can be challenging sometimes, but that makes the game fun. It's never to busy. Highly recommended if you can only get in 9 holes.
Sandelie Golf - East Course
Played On 07/12/2016Nice round, but greens need work
2nd time playing this course and really like the course. I love the wide open fairways, but the greens here need some serious work. I didn't see many workers so I'm not sure if this is a mom/pop run golf course, but they need to put some serious effort into fixing the greens. Bare spots on most, and just really bad looking. Other than that, i love this course and I like playing here. Course if very easy to walk. If your a beer drinker, keep in mind there is no play to purchase any alcohol if that's your thing.
Oregon City Golf Club
Played On 07/08/2016Another Great Round
Third time playing Oregon City Golf Club, and once again, it was awesome. I love this course. Very easy to walk and has some great holes. Love the doglegs. Got a great hot deal through Golf Now...18 holes for $15. Can't beat that. Wish I lived closer so i could play it more often (About 30 miles one way from the course)
RedTail Golf Center
Played On 04/02/2016Pace of Play
We were instructed by the starter that there was a 15 minute rule per hole and we were totally fine that. We were also told a marshal would be out watching. Never saw one marshal. It took us over 3 hours to play the front 9 because of 4 drunk irresponsible adults who never should have been allowed on the course. They used profanity all day long, and after the 9th hole, I had to call the clubhouse to get someone out to talk to them. We finally played through and then were greeted again by these 4 who had no respect for the course and started driving their carts all over the course cutting through holes and cutting through the fairways while people where trying to play. I know you will run into just idiotic people, but if a course is going to instruct us to follow a time rule per hole, then they need to have someone out the entire day to enforce it. It shouldn't take 5 1/2 hours to play 18 holes of golf anywhere.
McKay Creek Golf Course & Driving Range
Played On 11/27/2015Great home town course
This is my local hometown course and I am so glad I live so close to it. The staff are always extremely nice and the cost to play is great. The course usually floods in the winter, but other than that, this is a great place to play a quick 9 holes. They even have family night where you can bring your kids out and play 5 holes for $5. Love this course.
