Great course. Bad timing!

This is a great course. Unfortunately I had no idea course was closing at the end of April for renovations. Golf Now usually keeps the app updated when aerating or renovations, this time there was no knowledge of that. When I pulled up to the course I thought maybe the drought conditions here in Florida really hurt the course. When I ask the young lady at check in what is going on I was told they were closing in 4 days. No explanation just closing in 4 days. After the round when I asked the cart attendants they told me they are replacing the greens, fairways and redoing 2 holes. When this course is in playable conditions it is a beautiful course with a decent layout. Pace of play is usually around 3 hours or less when season is over. Greens roll great. Just don't go in the rough! Typical Florida rough will eat the ball.

Good Beginners Course

The overall course is in fair shape. 3 of the greens are dead or in the process of dying. No real shape to the fairways defined by what is a fairway or what is ruff. For me the course is a slightly longer Par 3 course great for beginners or people who cant really hit the ball far. I used my Driver on 2 holes, the first was a par 4 352 yard 9th hole and the Par 4 275 yard 17th ( just for fun). There are 6 par 3 holes and the rest are par 4 with the longest being 352 yards. Most of the Par 4's are between 228 and 300. For me its a good course to work on your Iron play. There are no sand traps around green so you can try an attack the pins. I was always warned not to play here because it was a dirt track. I found it a fair experience and actually look forward to going back again and playing. Bathrooms on course were closed so if you needed to go you had to go back to club house. Pace of p[lay was great because i Think i saw only 1 other group on the course. It took me 2 hours to play. Their website says its the home of the 3 hour round.

Good course

Pace was average. Unfortunately players in front did not understand pace. Course was a good shape. The only bad was the wind.
