The Golf Club of Jupiter
Played On 09/19/2016It's Getting Better All the Tiimmmeeee (queue The Beatles)
I said I wouldn't come back until I heard course conditions had improved..... Well they have. Tremendously.
Is there room for improvement? Absitively, posalutely.
Monday Golf/Diner outing golf was good. I personally played like garbage but enjoyed the golf and the players. The food and accoutrements were above PAR.
Greens are 85% better than on previous visit.
Fairways and T-boxes also vastly improved.
Will I be back for 18? You better believe it.
West Palm Beach Golf Course
Played On 06/12/2016Affordable Golf can be Pleasurable too!
Close your eyes and listen to the sound of the water running over the stones in the brook or crashing on the beach. You'll have to have a great imagination to pull that one off.
It would be better to imagine all the scrub and sand that border the fairways to be lakes.
There is NO water but LOTS of sand everywhere. Bunkers on ever hole. Most of, if not every fairway is bordered by scrub and sand.
The fairways are in very good condition. The greens, with the exception of 1 or 2 are in excellent condition.
The course has lots of undulations and elevation changes, especially for a Florida public course.
We T'd off at 0748am, had no one behind us until 16-18 and thoroughly enjoyed the course.
I will be back.
One of the employees cautioned us that unless we've had lots of rain recently, which we did, the course turns into desert like conditions. That makes it perfect then for summer season in Florida where it rains almost every afternoon.
I will definitely go back and play here again.
Jupiter Dunes Golf Course
Played On 05/28/2016Exceptional Jupiter Gem
This is my second time playing here. I was blown away the first time I played here, a few months ago,and the course, especially the greens seem to have gotten better!
The greens are comparable to anything you see on the PGA Tour on TV.
If you like to play PAR 3's don't miss this course,.
Downside - no driving range to warm up on. No club house [beverages or meal after a round of golf is important]
The Golf Club of Jupiter
Played On 05/14/2016Ain't that shame.........
I'm somewhat still a beginner but play often enough and several different local courses to know the greens, and to some extent the entire course, at The Golf Club of Jupiter are deplorable.
The fairways are starting to get overgrown with crab grass or local wild grass. The T-Boxes need maintenance too.
The folks that work here need to revolt and get owners/management to reinvest some of the overpriced fees back into the course.
The carts ran great.
The food and service in the clubhouse is great.
The size and layout of this course make it desirable to play, the condition of the course is a complete turn-off.
This course is around the corner from my house. I have gone to the clubhouse, just to eat, many more time than I have gone to play golf.
I won't be back until I read, on this site, or hear from my buddies and neighbors that things have dramatically improved.
Lone Pines Golf Course
Played On 12/13/2015Great course for beginners or hacks trying to improve their game
SUPER WINDY DAY !
Driving range was as expected.
Par 3's and 4's only.
No sand the entire 18 holes. & only two holes with water.
The fairways and greens were in very good condition.
This is an excellent course for beginners, seniors, and hacks. A seasoned or advanced player would probably not find it challenging enough. The gentleman in the pro-shop was very friendly. The last time I played here was 1998. I just resumed playing again and really enjoyed today's outing.
The rates are right where they need to be for this course and I will definitely be back.
Jupiter Dunes Golf Course
Played On 10/18/2015The 'Little Green Monster' is a true gem.
The course conditions are excellent. The staff was superlative. All the other reviews you've read about this being a short course, good for beginners or for working on your short game are 100% spot on, nothing to add there.
I played with my friend and my 14 year old daughter. It was her first time ever swinging a golf club. We used the small practice area (rubber T's on a practice mat hitting into nets, there is no driving range) to get her swing to a point she could play the course. The course was empty so we had no concerns of holding up play. She used about 27 mulligans! But most importantly she had a great time and enjoyed her first golf outing. The staff was very friendly and encouraging to her in the pro-shop.
I only used 3-4 clubs for all 18 holes.
Some of the nicest greens I've seen in the area. There are few holes that border the coastal areas with amazing views of wildlife and lagoons.
Hi RatInATrainDitch,
We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed the course conditions and layout. We are looking forward to seeing you back again soon!
