Sand traps were flooded and at least two holes were under construction

We played W-A in Feb. 2021 and had a great time. We paid a premium price ($200+) per round and were disappointed to find most of the bunkers flooded. If you landed in a greenside bunker, you were likely to lose your ball because the water in them was deep and murky. The last par 3 was under construction with contrived tee boxes and hole 17 was reconfigured and shortened as it appears that the course is being encroached upon for hotel construction. While the staff was great, the course was more comparable to $130 courses in the Orlando area rather than a premium course.

Great course but painfully slow pace of play

I love this course. It is a Top 10 public course with a links feel on the front nine and a beautiful wooded layout on the back. If you are struggling with accuracy, it is extremely challenging. My review is impacted by the fact that my round took over 5.5 hours. A morning event preceded our 1 p.m. tee time and the pace of play was the worst I have ever experienced. There were no marshalls or cart service on the course on a warm, June Sunday afternoon. We were 20 minutes late getting started and we waited on every hole. It was painful.

Hello, JeffEstes. Thank you for reviewing the course. We apologize for the delay of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. With an uncharacteristically full day, we work hard to accommodate everyone who visits our course and allow our guest the chance to complete their rounds. With that in mind, we are working to best control pace and allow everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve. We are glad to see you rated the course conditions and layout to be great during your game. Thank you for playing Annbriar Golf Course. We hope to see you again soon.

One of the best fall/winter courses in STL

Gateway National is perhaps the best all-season course in St. Louis. The bent grass fairways remain green through December and the greens are always A+. On Nov. 20th, the greens were the fastest I had played in some time and we were off the path. The course is long and challenging and the par 3s require a degree of target golf. While great year-round, you will especially enjoy this course Oct. through March when other courses are still getting up-to-speed.
