This was my first bad experience at Orange Tree Golf Course which I have played many times before. I purposely booked an early afternoon tee time to ensure we finished our round before sunset but due to 2, yes, 2 Tournaments scheduled, we were 40 mins late Teeing off on hole 14!!!, Yes, hole 14!! Are you kidding me? Who tees off on hole 14? We weren't in a Shotgun start tournament. The Starter told us to go on the back 9 and start on any open hole we find. We played 14-18 and then headed to hole 1 but saw several groups backed up on it. We then went to hole 10 and saw the same thing. When we complained, the ranger offered us a couple of drink tickets. Really???? We paid $58 each for this mess of an organization and played 10 holes, Holes 14 thru 18 twice!!!
Very disappointing for a Scottsdale course and I don't recommend it. But if you do book a Tee Time, be sure to ask them if they have any tournaments or outings scheduled and if so, go somewhere else. Ruined my whole day.
