Our first time playing again since Jan Stephenson took over. I was dismayed by the recent negative reviews. I think one needs to know what winter Florida golf conditions are like. The course was indeed in disrepair before 2009. This past Sunday we played in under 4 hours albeit a foggy start to the day and they didn't seem very busy. Staff very friendly and being a Navy vet I was made to feel very appreciated. Fairways were better than some local courses. One must realize that this time of the year Bermuda grass is dormant. Instead of having to use ones putter from everywhere off the green, chipping was very possible using other clubs. Yes the greens were top-dressed to stimulate lusher growth but they were smooth, rolled true, and were of decent speed. The layout is very enjoyable, variable, and memorable. Overall a very enjoyable round and we were glad to have returned after many years away. My wife would appreciate more forward red tees!

Today was a 2 to 3 club wind. The greens were excellent-fast,smooth,with challenging contours. The fairways and rough are typical winter/Bermuda dormant tight lies. "Chip" with putter is best option from just about everywhere. A very enjoyable layout, friendly staff, Worth regular green fee rate of $33.

A very difficult course for me. Played white tees and that was tough enough believe me. My good drives go 200 down here. Some holes are best played as par five to avoid trouble. Tight lies require playing the ball back in stance a little and around green putter is best often and like in the U.K. playing along the ground is wise. On greens you must consider the grain. A great challenge. I played again 2 days later and scored 20 strokes better (92) but it still got me when I let my concentration lapse. Take the challenge!

Very challenging golf course. Played white tees (5500 yds.). 2 club winds with gusts. Excellent course conditions. Using less than driver and opting for straight will save strokes. Downhill putts are fast! The course can humble you. You must stay positive.

Course in great condition, very quick greens, took 4 hrs.

9 holes were cart path only due to heavy rains 2 days prior hence "fair" conditions. #16 green bad. A challenging layout. Remember to add 300 yds. for a par 70 when choosing tees. I would play it again.

This is best course I've played so far this year (5 rounds). Very good staff. Plenty of challenge.

Very tight lies everywhere. Greens are not great, quite sandy and grass is sparse in many places. Took 4 1/2 hrs. A very demanding course for accuracy especially on a day of 2 and at times 3 club winds. It was fun though once you have finished and think about it.

Several holes very close together. Watch out for incoming! Routing of cart paths have carts sometimes park in front of hole requiring players to take longer to clear the way for those waiting to hit. Layout very enjoyable and gives good challenge. Greens are coarse bermuda and a few are not in the best of condition but overall not bad. Main complaint is a 5 hour round!

Greens large with contours, very true, and speedy (10 stimp). Challenging tee shots (not always driver, some intimidation aspect). Tees flat but not pretty. Who cares - you tee it up anyway! Great layout. Excellent pace of play.
