Royal Woodbine Golf Club
Played On 07/27/2023Disappointing again
This course is in the middle of Mississauga - literally on the runway of Pearson Airport, and very accessible quickly, but always manages to disappoint.
Either the staff were unfriendly or the cart girls were not moving (staying under a bridge all the time) or in this case - BAD drainage making you stay "Cart path only" on the whole course - which means a lot of walking - at FULL price of course. You could see how bad the drainage was. Check other local courses that day - they were fine (from a water point of view).
Its always something here. Disappointed, because the course itself if well laid out and fund. Kaneff courses in general are under-funded.

Did not know this existed. It is in the middle of a subdivision, but somehow the houses do not get in the way.
Had a great time. Weather helped a lot.
We will be back.

Course was not spectacular, but really had a good day there. Will go back. Staff at patio bar were excellent.

Played On 10/12/2015Beautiful course - but good to know par before you begin
Found this course with the right tee-off time on GolfNow and met friends there on a beautiful fall day. The course is very well maintained in a gorgeous countryside. The surprise was that each of the three nines are only par 31. There is only 1 par 5 over all three nines and mostly par 3's. We still enjoyed our round and found the course (although a bit short) challenging and fun. Just knowing the par before you go will guarantee you a better day.
Turtle Creek Golf
Played On 06/09/2013A little out of the way, but worth it !
Took a little while to get there (coming from Port Credit), but had a great day and really enjoyed the course.
Playing it a second or subsequent time will definitely take 5-8 strokes off your game as you get to know the course.
Really enjoyed our day.
Golfed at Lowville Sunday July 20th 2020. Sky turned black at 12:30 received tornado warnings on our cell phones. No horn sounded by the course. Drove back to clubhouse in cart in horrendous conditions.
Clubhouse employee would not let us inside said go to your car. In other words we won't blow the horn to warn golfers of dangerous weather and deal with tornado conditions yourself outside.
Total joke. They blew the horn after we luckily got back to the clubhouse which was at least 20 minutes too late. Pathetic management put us in an unsafe situation.
If bad weather is approaching blow the horn so we can all be safe.
Won't go back there. Dangerous place. Poorly managed.
Courses are supposed to be monitoring radar for dangerous weather and properly notify golfers of dangerous conditions. When we get an alert on our cell phones 20 minutes before a warning is sounded by management when the sky is black and can't see 1 inch in front of you then that is a big problem.
Risking my life going to this course again is not high on my agenda.
