Being from out of town and reading all the reviews on this place I was a little nervous booking. I loved the course and so did my wife however, the $20 per person to ride was ridiculous.
Thankfully the course was in good condition and the green were great which takes the sting off the fees.
I will be back and hope I'm able to walk the course by then ( bad knee ).

See review from May 20th. I had the same experience, not a blade of grass on the course and they told me the pumps were broke till a few days ago. Obviously they are not telling the truth. I believe they are going "out of business" and this place should be shut down NOW.
It a complete disgrace that they let anybody play on it in these conditions.

This used to be one of my favorite courses over the last twenty years but management has let this place go to the point I wonder if they are getting ready to close it down. With all the rain we've had in the last month there is no reason this course should be in this poor of shape. The greens although very fast are mostly a mixture of groomed weeds and grass and off the fairways is just poor. They've taken out most of the cart paths because they didn't want to spend the money to replace them which isn't too bad but to not have a cart girl in the "prime season" is just unacceptable. Its a good thing there are a lot of courses around but I'll miss this place.

I've been wanting to play this course for awhile and I'm glad I finally did. This is the nicest course I've played for a few years. I play about once a week all around the valley but have never checked this place out till now. The course was in pristine condition and for our summer this is outstanding. Most of the courses I've played have had lots of trouble with the hot weather but TPC has it figured out. The greens were some of the best and the layout is great.

We play every week and have been playing some pretty rough courses lately but Sun City C.C. was happily in great shape. The greens were in the best shape of any course I've played this summer. ( Grand Canyon, Hillcrest, Rancho Mañana, Cimarron, We-Ko-Pa, Talking Stick)

I've always loved the layout of this course and still do despite the conditions which in the last few years have been spotty. The greens were very slow and bumpy due to needing cut but it looks like they are trying cause there was mostly grass in the fairways. (may have been bad timing for the greens)
They keep the rates so good that its still a place to give a try but bring your own water cause they keep the snack bar closed during the week.

Rancho Mañana has always been a good course to play in the summer and it still is. The course was in good condition although the green were slow due to keeping them longer for the summer heat.
I wish they would give us that play in the summer a 50% voucher to play in the winter when the rates go "out of touch" for the average resident golfer cause this is a great course.

It’s a shame but they have lost this course except for the greens which are OK. I won’t play here again till winter cause I don’t see them getting it back. Had to try and find a grass spot to place ball on most fairways.

Cimarron has become my favorite affordable summer course in the West Valley. The layout is very appealing and the conditions are usually very good. I like all the Sun City Grand courses but this is my favorite. I am not a member. I wish the course was available to play for non-members on Golfnow during the winter season.

You would think on a 111 degree day a place like the Biltmore would at least have ice chest on the carts but NO. Also the water machine wasn't working and there is only water on this course in one location. They must be trying to keep their cost down which really doesn't matter as there is no reason to play here when there are so many nice courses around that are better priced and include scented towels and ice chest. The course was in good condition but there is nothing special about this place.

Played this course for the first time in Aug and it is the nicest course in the West Valley for sure. Fairways are very forgiving and the greens are very large. There is not a lot of break on the green but they are protected by a lot of sand which makes it challenging. These were the best greens I've played all summer and I play every week. Every approach shot bit well which is very unusual for a AZ summer. They treat you extremely well here.

Played this course for the 2nd time on July 14th and read the reviews and agree the greens on the backside were rough but getting better after being recently punched. This course makes you feel like you are up north with all the pine trees and surrounding mountains. I really like this course and will be back even as it limps back to expected condition.

Play this course nearly every week in league play and over the last three years there have been improvements although work still needs to be done under new management. The tee boxes have always been crowned making it difficult to get a level stance. The greens have improved although showing really long for summer. The rough simply isn't being mowed much making a really difficult out if you end up in it and the bunkers are back to being packed to where you don't leave a footprint after walking in them. This is a nice layout that needs attention but is reasonably priced for the inconvience.
