First golf course review wirtten by myself -
First course worth writing about that isn't popularly known.
Met with a warm welcome, informed about some space around my tee time if I wanted to get off earlier/later.
Visited the large undulated chipping and putting green before heading to the range, where I was firing balls through the rugby posts and at the many distance checkers, treelined and quiet, a nice range.
Course plays fairly open but lines still need to be decided from the tee, not too long so big hitters can leave the driver in the bag but there is a couple forced carries of 160-210 if you want to take the right line.
Excellent undulation around many greens forcing a planned approach.
Some steep hills but well spread out so not physically demanding.
Especially impressed with the par 3's and the stretch from 4- 6, like playing in a private forest.
Greens are a little firm but receptive enough, some lovely multi-tered challenges amongst them.
Playing off 9.1 I shot 80 gross, 71 nett, and left some out there, will definitely be back for those shots next time I am near Nottingham.
Reccommend to all.
