I’m going to keep this short because I wasted my time and most of all my money playing this joke of a course on Sunday. I’ve never seen such terrible course conditions in Orange County. The tee boxes were all completely dead and so dried out you could even put a tee in the ground... not joking. The fairways were terrible, half dirt half, crab grass. The greens would have been okay if they weren’t punched and sanded. Over all a terrible experience here. One of the people in our group couldn’t make it and the starter wouldn’t help even though he could have, he knew that GN was closed on Sunday and referred me to call GN to get a refund for the non existent 4th player knowing I wouldn’t be able to contact anyone with GN. So I basically paid $76 for one green fee to play what was the worst course I’ve ever played in OC in my entire life of playing golf. If you don’t like wasting your money don’t play here. There are many many way better courses for the same price or even much cheaper.

I’ve got to give Costa Mesa County club props for their consistency in maintaining this course over the last two decades. Although there were a few roughy times they still kept this course up very decent compared to many other courses in this area! The last year, los Lagos is the best I’ve ever seen it, my only complaint is that some golfers neglect to fix their ball marks on the greens which shame on them! I fix at least 5 ball marks on each green when I play here to do my part. My only other complaint would be the snack bar/ restaurant or lack there of after about 2:45pm everyday they tend to never want to continue to serve, and the sweet girl with the food cart seems to be the only one working until 5pm and is always overwhelmed. She definitely deserves a raise and a great review because she’s awesome. Other than that this course is amazing and I will continue to keep golfing here for until I’m dead! Keep it up Costa Mesa County club! You guys are a real gem in this city and you deserve every kind word and excellent review you receive!

I’ve been playing David L Baker for many years now. Weekly Twilight has always been a great deal. The course is decent, my only complaints would be the pace of play is extremely slow because of tee times not spaced out enough and sometimes the wait time on the tees is easily 15-20min per hole which is somewhat frustrating for a small course. My only other complaint would be the condition of the greens.. most of the players inexperienced as they are, If the staff at David L Baker would stress to REPAIR YOUR BALL DIVOTS in the greens! The greens would certainly be almost impeccable. But I still enjoy playing this course very much and I will always come back to play this course at least once a week.
