Played On 09/04/2023Oakcreek CC Always a Premium Experience
Great course and always in great condition. The course is tight and you need to be on the correct side of some fairways which makes things interesting. The greens usually roll a bit slow but breaks are subtle and true. Best part of the experience is the staff. They know their stuff but remain in the background unless they need to step into a situation.

Are you kidding me? Traveling through Cali — all indications were for a nice golf experience from my Golf Now research. Golf Now must be brain-dead. Avoid this course and be very septic all of anything that Golf Now recommends.
Royal Links Golf Club
Played On 09/30/2021Great Course, Flaws with Staff
I played the course on a perfect day. The check-in process was bad — the guy in the pro shop ignored me for over 6 minutes while he dealt with personal business on the phone (no eye contact, etc). The starter was grumpy/bossy but also helpful. Pace of play was slow (4 3/4 hours). The course was in perfect condition and the layout is great. Ignore the staff deficiencies and enjoy the course.

The Currituck Club
Played On 07/17/2021Not worth it
Love the course but there are too many short par 4’s (335 to 365 yards) which make it uninteresting. Overall, a very good layout but the greens were really crappy. Divot marks and gouges were predominant. Very lazy staff/ground crew to let the greens get so poor. I can’t recommend this course in its current condition. Way too expensive with the greens in their current condition.

The Highlands Golf Course

Highlands is about to go thru an upgrade but the greens and most of the fairways and tees are in good shape. A few bare spots on the greens did not come into play. Bunkers were in good shape and the sand was consistent. Always fun.
Misty Creek Country Club

Played on a sunny and warm spring day. The pace of play was very good, greens and most tees were in good shape. The base fairways are in good shape but the areas around some of the greens, particularly on the back side, were pretty much dirt. All of the staff members are friendly and want to make sure that you have a good experience.
The greens rolled true and were a bit on the fast side. Also, you need to respect the slopes on the greens -- it can be risky to attack pins on many of the holes.
Overall, this course is worth the time and money.
