Any course with the name "river" in it always concerns me a bit as I'm not too fond of tons of water, but for the most part water isn't too much of a concern here. I've played the course a few times now and it really is a great layout with some very diverse holes. The first few holes will give you the impression that the course is really tight, but there is actually a lot of variance in the layout. There's a nice mix of short par 4s that are nearly driveable and nearly 600 yard par 5s that are just a lot of fun. I would say the par3's really standout though. They are quite beautiful holes. Overall the course is a bit tight in spots but it really is a great mix of holes and I would highly recommend giving it a try. I recently played on a warm day in January and the conditions were great. Greens are painted but were in top shape for this time of year.

Course was pricey but was in excellent shape. There’s a lot of variety on the types of holes that make creativity a keep factor in navigating the dangers. Greens were in excellent shape but they have a lot of undulation and it means you need to know where to land the ball. It’s a lovely course and I’ll definitely come back again.

This is a course all the great things one would look for when playing golf. It has a great variety of holes, including a huge starting par 5, varied and challenging yet exciting par 3s and a mix of par 4s that gives you many options for how you want to play them. So the layout and the beauty of the course is top notch. We happened to play the course about a week after aeration but the conditions and shape of the greens were still great. In fact the aeration didn’t really factor at all Into the round. In addition the staff were friendly and welcoming and I truly believe that that fact can really help your day at the course start of on the right foot. We certainly felt welcome and really appreciated that they even gave us extra ice to carry on an especially hot day..

The club house, or even the parking lot for that matter, isn't going to win any awards. It looks like it hasn't been touched since its original opening, but the course itself is the most important part and its a pretty decent layout. My friend and I brought along our 2 11 year olds and we all had a good day on the course. Its not in the best of shape, but its certainly not in terrible shape. I had an enjoyable day and I would play there again if the price was right, which it was when we played. This isn't a course that I would make long term plans to go play but it is a course I wouldn't mind heading out to if I was just trying to walk on or make a last minute tee-time. The fairways were usually pretty good and the greens weren't excellent but they weren't terrible either. The rough is a mix of different grasses usually. I was able to hit driver on many holes, with a chance to hit the green as well off the tee on many par 4s. I'd play it again with the kids for sure.
