Very nice round

They have put a lot of money and effort into this course over the last couple years and have brought it to being one of the top public courses in the county. If you have not played here in a while, give it a new try. The greens today were simply outstanding. Fast and true, with a nice amount of contour to make it interesting. And the course is laid out on a beautiful piece of land.

Course Needs water

This is an excellent course, but at this time, it is a little early in the season and it needs water to get the fairways back. Very thin grass and a lot of very tight lies. You are better off in the rough, which is very light, but the ball sits up a bit. The greens were in very good shape and rolled very nice. Approach shots will not hold well as the greens are very firm. The course is listed at 6100 yrds + from the white as it always was, but they have cheated the tees up and it plays quite short now. Probably plays about 5800 from the white, which is about right considering many senior members. Play the Blue tees if you drive the ball over 200 yrds or are under 15 handicap. Excellent course when the spring and summer come.

My Fav course in Palm Beach

The course was a little dry and thinner than normal, with some tight fairway lies. It goes with our dry season and also getting a lot of play this time of year. Overall, still in good shape and very playable. A nice layout. Most of the holes are forgiving for driving the ball, but most of the greens are well protected with bunkers and have enough slope to make keeping the ball under the hole a priority on approach shots. This course is very nice all around.

Not so great fairways in March. Greens good though

We played around March 16. Most courses in this area overseed the fairways with Rye, however, this course did not. The fairway lies were very thin and made play more difficult. The greens were very good and rolled true. May be much better in Late April or so when the Bermuda grass come back. We got a special pay in advance greens fee of $20, so I graded value as excellent.
