Castle Creek Country Club
Played On 04/15/2018Nice Challenge At Castle Creek
For a casual round, I love Castle Creek. It’s got short and long holes and elevation changes on the back nine. A few of the greens were spotty but overall the course was in good shape. Pace of play was fine even on a crowded Sunday afternoon. Carts are clean and work well. The fee was low. It’s no country club but a pretty course and great value. The staff is nice and they have a full bar. Worth playing regularly.
Castle Creek Country Club
Played On 11/25/2017Great value - some greens need work
I have played Castle Creek 20 or so times. Old school course with some challenging holes and some easier ones. For a Saturday, pace of play was good (4 hours for the round) and the course was in decent condition. A few greens were in tough shape with bumpy dirt areas. Overall great value and fun round. For less than $30 with cart, I’ll be coming back.
Cottonwood Golf Club - Lakes Course
Played On 05/29/2017Great Value - Good Pace of Play!
Cottonwood Lakes is not a high end course but it is in good condition and presents a fair challenge. There are few easy holes and trouble lurks even on those. I got a red hot deal 2 hours before tee time and paid under $18 for 18 holes with cart on a nice day. The round took only 4 hours. The staff and other golfers were friendly. This course and the companion Ivanhoe course are great values.
Castle Creek Country Club
Played On 02/20/2017Enjoyable Holiday Round
Castle Creek is not a high end course but it offers great value for the money. The course was in great shape after all of the rain So Cal has had lately. It was crowded as one would expect on a holiday but the pace of play was tolerable. There were a couple of bottlenecks, but we didn't have to wait too long between most shots. I had not played in a couple of months and this course was just the right level of challenge to work on getting my swing back in shape. Some of the greens have tough subtle breaks but they were rolling well. Nice time with new friends.
Carmel Highland Golf Resort
Played On 7/7/2013Fun course for all!
This is the closest course to my house so it's convenient to visit. You can find tee times for under $30 in the afternoon even on a weekend. There are some challenging holes and many have elevation changes. It won't be confused with a manicured private course but it's fine and a great value. The staff is friendly and food/beer prices are reasonable. Bonus points for cute cart girl Britney. Worth a look.
