Let me start by saying a midday round here costs $59. I booked a Sunday afternoon. I checked in at the pro shop, and was handed a cart key, and pointed in the direction of where I could collect a score sheet. This was the only employee I saw the entire time I was here. No cart attendants, no starter, no ranger. Cart was not clean, I found tees, trash, and 5 pencils. When I booked, the website said I was with 3 others.
Well with no starter around I waited, and no one showed up. I teed off behind 2 players, who were behind a foursome. Play was slow. The bunkers were horrendous. The tee boxes are in bad shape as well. Greens were aerated which is understandable, but there's no mention of it on the website, or while booking. The fairways were ok, but missing the fairway gave you lots of scenarios. Rocks, dirt, muddy areas, and if you did find grass - it was crab grass. I picked my ball out of puddles in the bunkers, fought geese on multiple holes, and lost count of how many times my ball landed in, or I was forced to take my stance in goose crap.
As bad as that was, by far the absolute WORST part of my round, was the gps units in the carts. Most annoying and non useful thing ever. They show how far you are to the center of the green. That's it. You can't adjust anything based on pin placement, or check distance to any other point on the hole. The one thing they are good for, is making noise. On the cart path, in the rough, in the fairway. Doesn't matter. Random notifications on the screen that don't stop, and oh, cover up the yardage which is the only usable function! The cart was sitting still on many different occasions, and when I went to take a shot, a loud beep. What's that? I need to move the cart because it's "in a wet area, move to the right?" I was in the fairway. The right was rough...what? On top of that, I don't need you advertising your bar every other hole either. I understand letting people know they're too close to a green, or a hole is cart path only etc makes sense (keep in mind at least HALF the holes on this course are cart path only) but the whole course is covered in these "geofences" that don't make any sense. There's no physical markers anywhere indicating that your cart is about to give you a migraine if you drive there.
To sum up, I would not recommend playing here unless one of two circumstances occur. Either you just walk on and play for free (since there's no one there to stop you anyway) or they get real and start charging less than $25. After all there's 3 courses within 30min of here that are charging half or less, with similar or better conditions for the same tee time.
Enjoy your round.

I'm a newer golfer, but play frequently. I have been to a few courses in the area, and this has been my favorite. Everyone who works there has been very friendly and easy to talk to. The course conditions have always been good or better. The layout has plenty of different scenarios off the tee. Greens are the most fun and challenging I've played. For the price of a round, I will definitely frequent here as my game improves.
