Winter conditions are tough when courses are damp and dormant grass makes for flat lies. Berkeley has forgiving layout, hills (unusual for SC Lowcountry), and friendly staff. Haven't played it in 20 years, but it will be attractive when weather warms and conditions improve.

Play this course frequently, in rotation with several others. With a favorable senior rate and excellent conditions, this is a favorite.

Play this course two or three times a year. Not near anything, but a 45 minute drive from Summerville (home) and 1:15 from Charleston. Course in good shape, greens don't look perfect but are true. Had a day of half decent humidity and very-decent temperature for summer in SC. Staff is friendly and play is not jammed up in summer.

Not near or on the way to any real place; Greater Charleston residents have to want to go there, and out-of-towners play as part of packages with other area courses.. Price for local rate is excellent, and improves as weather gets hotter. Nice layout, very good conditions. Not overly difficult, but not a giveaway course, and not at all dull.

Play this course often, great value. Course is challenging with water on every hole. A few holes pretty long. Greens so-so, rest of course decent. Price is excellent.

Course in average condition, most greens true. Front nine is a real golf course; back is short and much like bumper cars. Never a problem getting on and a good course to walk.

Played nine holes in league play. Three nines available; played Burn Kill which is between hardest and easiest. Course in Ok condition. Greens true, but fairways still to grow in. Good driving range and great clubhouse/bar available.

Great course for walking. Always value priced. Course in fairly good condition now, greens ok. This course is short and not difficult, and is narrow, requiring the big boomers to hit straight or be in trouble.

Fairly forgiving but not boring course. In fine condition, and rates have plummeted as tourist season moves into lowcountry hot season. Not located near anywhere, but worth a longer drive than you might be used to.

I play this course often. Good prices are usually available. Course is challenging (mistakes will be marked with a splash) but an overall great layout. Course slightly tamer than a few years ago. Condition good except late June greens below average. Bunkers good condition. The fox squirrels add entertainment. Remote from Charleston, but a great value for Summerville and North area residents.
