Las Vegas National Golf Course
Played On 04/11/2019A mature, well managed course
Las Vegas National was Exactly what I had hoped for. The course was in very good shape with some fairly wide tree-lined fairways and plenty of water and sand to challenge all golfers. I enjoyed the historical signs giving information about former homeowners who lived along the course. I was disappointed that after playing 18 holes in about 3 hours/15 minutes, the pro shop was closed at 5:15pm and I was unable to shop for a cap and maybe a souvenir of some kind.
Moody Gardens Golf Course
Played On 03/28/2018Nicely groomed and cared for
This was definitely an upgrade to the last time I played here several years ago. Staff was friendly and as a single, groups were very willing to let me play through. Greens were in good shape and fairways were wide and manicured. Just the right amount of challenge for most golfers.I would be happy to play at the Moody Gardens course again!
Copper Creek Golf Club
Played On 07/20/2016What a beautiful course!
First time to play this particular course and we really enjoyed it. The view and scenery was spectacular, especially the elevated tee boxes of the back nine. The course was in generally good condition, but was not well marked. Even with the map of the hole layout we got lost a couple of times going from one hole to the next. Take your range finders because the only yardage markers we saw were the 100 yards to the green. Good challenges to the course, especially the multi-terraced greens, some narrow approaches and a few well-placed pot bunkers as well as water. Overall, a very enjoyable course.
Holiday Hills Resort and Golf Club
Played On 7/9/2013Enjoyable Round!
From the beginning at the beautiful putting green to the manicured tree-lined fairways this course was a very enjoyable golfing experience. We had to keep our eyes open for errant shots on the parallel fairways as a couple of foursomes hit into us without warning. Most of the greens were in excellent condition. Course was fairly short with only one par 5 but a fun and enjoyable course.
The Pointe Golf Course
Played On 3/12/2013Challenging due to traps and water, narrow fairways and hilly terrain;however, shorter length of course made play easier.
We enjoyed playing this course as the overall design was good. Water, traps, narrow fairways all made it challenging, yet the length of the course made it a good course for players of all levels. The elevated greens and tee boxes along with changes in elevation provided some beautiful scenery along the course. The water hazards were not as daunting to us as some of the reviews we read seemed to indicate. We were able to play the first 14 holes on pace; however, at the 15th hole we caught up with a college women's tournament and our play virtually came to a halt. The women were playing so slowly that it was obvious our tee time was scheduled too closely behind the tournament. Since play was at a crawl we were not able to finish our round and were quite disappointed. We contacted the pro shop while we were waiting on the tournament but got no assistance in solving the problem. We returned to the pro shop after ending our play and the guy there was more interested in assisting the already finished girls than us. On the positive side, we had a killer chicken salad sandwich in the grill and very much enjoyed our visit with the ladies in charge there! We will probably sample the other courses in the area beforeto returning to Point Royale, and you can bet when we schedule our next tee time there, we'll ask about tournaments scheduled before we book it!
Thanks for the 4-star review, we appreciate you taking time to rate us on Golf Advisor. We don't sell merchandise online at this point, but give us a call at (866) 695-1961 and maybe we can work something out. Thanks for coming out to Las Vegas National!
