Beechwood Golf Course - Creekside/Lakeview
Played On 05/30/2017Simple Course, Great Price
Played Woodland/Creekside at 1:22 on a Tuesday- 4.2 Handicap
Played front 9 in about 1:10 hours. Played back 9 in about 1:30 hours. There was a 2some holding me up which did not allow me to play through, no fault of the course though. All the recent rain did a number on the rough. Rough was thin but tall with a lot of mud and mowing tracks. Fairways and tees were good. Greens were in excellent shape, albeit slow.
Cost was $23 with cart. Can't beat that, but probably won't be back due to not quite challenging enough for myself and distance is quite far away.

I'll preface this review by stating I had a great rate through GolfNow as well as a coupon code. I'm unsure of what the standard rates are but I would easily see myself paying $35 or $40 with card to play this course. The greens were in phenomenal shape and quick. The fairways and tee boxes were pretty rough and the grass was pretty long and definitely needed a cut. There wasn't much to the rough. When I first walked in it was an odd entrance the layout of the buildings in the parking lot and had to go into the cart Barn to get a golf cart. However the course layout was amazing and fun. If I lived in that area that would be one of my go-to courses as there was challenge but also some easier holes to play as well.
Not what it used to be
The course has really gone downhill in recent years. The greens were about the only decent thing about the shape of the golf course. They did rule true however they are disease. It's clear that the owner has given up on the golf course and is ready to sell. Even playing on Labor Day weekend when historically it is a busy time of year, the parking lot was nearly empty and we were able to play as a twosome without seeing hardly anyone else. The fairways and tee boxes we're just as long as the rough comma in the fairways were just as bad.
