Once and Done

Paid $97 for two of us with a GolfNow Hot Deal. Wouldn’t pay full fare. Course needs upkeep. Greens were wet, very slow and dinky. My ball plugged up to its equator four or five times on the greens. Fairways were super wet, too. Seems like the course could use a full drainage overhall. I think they have it set for permanent cartpath only, except for three holes. You need an ATV on the cart paths, terrible shape. Too many blind tee shots. Disco music blasting from the adjacent pool complex made it difficult to enjoy. Ugh.

Staff was pleasant, except our fousome was asked to please pick up the pace at the turn after finishing the front nine in 1:40. Really?

For the price, there are better courses in the area to play.

Good for the Price

I used GolfNow to get a great price - $30/each, including cart on a Sunday afternoon.

The course is in fair shape. The greens were spongy and slow. I'm guessing they hadn't been mowed because it was so hot and they didn't want to burn them up. And, they had the sprinklers running all afternoon - very distracting. Also, most of the greens are very small. On some of the longer holes (several par 4's over 400 yards), it's a real challenge to hit an approach onto the tiny greens. Otherwise, it's pretty straight forward. It's hard to lose a golf ball because it's pretty open and there are very few hazards (no water to speak of).

The staff is pleasant, especially the young man at the grill in the snack shack. There was no beverage cart.

We'll play it again because of the price and tee time availability. We also want to try the Black Course.
