The course is in excellent condition. There was almost no one else enjoying it today. I played two rounds between 9:15 and 1:45. And once you are finished playing, the bar/restaurant is excellent. Check it out.

Course is in the best condition of any of the many courses I have played this summer in this area. Tees, fairways and greens all in good shape. Staff is friendly and pace was very good.

Enjoyed my first round at Waterlefe. Layout was very interesting and challenging. Course in excellent shape including all greens, fairways and tee boxes. Very visually pleasing. A great golf course for anyone who loves Florida’s natural environment. Lots of water. Enjoy.

After several rounds at other local courses, which were all very dry and had significant problems on their fairways, I was pleasantly surprised that the greens and fairways were in such great conditions. Even though the greens had some brown grass blended in with the green grass, they were immaculate and true to the roll (they were supposed to be punched the day after I played). The fairways and greens were very hard; lots of roll down the fairway and bouncing balls on the greens.

Many of the fairways are very tight and you can certainly go through a lot of balls if you don't hit straight down the fairway. The layout of the course was very interesting. The staff was very friendly. The price was good and I look forward to going back soon.

Course is in pretty good shape considering how dry it has been. The greens were recently punched, but the balls roll pretty well now. It may be another week or two before you can't tell they were punched (if we get any rain). There are places in the fairways where you have bare ground and need to roll your ball to find some grass, but there isn't much of a problem finding some nearby. Considering the drought we are in, the conditions are pretty good.

The staff is very friendly and timing of play is very quick. Note there is no driving range here.

I think recent reviewers may have been a little generous. I liked the layout of the course. The homes were not too close. The holes were interesting. The fairways are fairly open. The course has a lot of traps making it interesting (some quite difficult). The greens on the lake course are tiny and that makes it more challenging. The greens are in good shape. All that is good. However, I think the fairways and tee boxes are in poor condition at best and off-the-fairway areas are really bad. Some of the tee boxes had no live grass at the back tees. They need to do a lot of watering. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. I would recommend the course, but just be willing to move your ball to find a patch of grass if you are off the fairway (and maybe even if you are on it). There were few players there when I went so don’t worry about time issues.

Excellent course conditions, nice layout and very friendly staff. I played twice in one week and will be back again soon.

Practice areas are in excellent condition. All greens in excellent condition. While some fairways have areas in need of improvement, for the most part all fairways are in excellent shape and where there are issues, you don’t have to roll your ball too far for a nice lie. Excellent value for the money. Staff very friendly. Will return soon.

Finally a golf course with nice fairways this spring. After playing 6 other golf courses in the past two weeks, I started thinking that the fairway grass had disappeared from this area. The fairways are nice, the greens are very good and the layout was challenging (despite being fairly wide open. I will go back and do recommend it.

My overall impression was positive about the course. The layout was challenging with the rolling hills which are different from most local courses. The staff was very friendly and accommodating The major disappointment I had was that considering that it is only February, there was way too much dead grass in the fairways and rough areas, as well as around the greens. There should not be any dead brown grass at this time. I can understand having it in August, but come on now, at these winter rates the tourists (and us locals too) should be able to hit off grass everywhere. I may return after the rates go down, but If there is this much dead grass, I won’t be too happy.

Course has great layout if you like dog legs. Lots of water and challenging shots. Greens were in good shape but were not cut sufficiently and were too slow. Fairways were in good shape but obviously need water to green them up a bit. Well worth playing.

Would it be too hard to actually put grass on the first fairway? Why can't the condition of the first fairway be as good as any of the other holes. They should be embarrassed to let anyone play on the first hole. I hope they can work on this soon.

One of the prettiest courses I've played down here as it is set in such a beautiful natural setting. Very well kept and many interesting holes. If you like nature you will notice many unusual plants and flowers. Worth the trip and money just to see the environment.
