Bad rain the day before and surprisingly no drainage.for the expected player experience. Bunkers are now waterholes. Cart path only significantly slowed play. 5 hours of play in the heat. Punched greens are coming back, but still a little sandy and bumpy. Would have been happier if we had a price break. .

Very scenic. Pace was normal for 4 golfers. Starter kept folks on time! Saw two huge gators - biggest thus far I've seen in FL!

Hate to report this rave review because I really enjoy EVERY time I go to the Venetian Bay and I want the course all to myself :). From the moment you hit the Pro Shop (Dick is always pleasant) to the starter to the 19th hole, everyone is friendly and always have an enjoyable round - regardless of my playing ability. They really keep the course clean and updated - they recently replaced all the bunkers with new sand - appreciate the soft sand versus the "dirt" you get with other clubs. Great course - pace of play can sometimes get slow on the back 9 but typically players are amenable to let folks play through! Truly love this course!

The only downfall was the greens (but they did have they overseeded, so it was expected). I can't thank you and your staff enough for remaining open in the morning to allow folks to play on Thanksgiving. Not everyone has family to be with and the normalcy of play makes it much easier to deal with the holiday if you are alone! Thank you!

This is a great golf course, the ONLY downfall is one of the starters/greeters...he's just not a people person. If he was friendly I feel everyone would have a fabulous day here. The course is great!

Course was in great condition with the exception of a few spots on a very few greens. A few fairways were wet still - it was cart path only. The staff at initial contact could have been a little friendlier.

Venetian Bay is a great course...I'm never disappointed with the course conditions...even if it rains a ton ;).

The fairways need a lot of work - many were not mowed, especially hole #3. The layout was good but the course really needs some TLC. Fairways are recovering from the amount of rain, but a few were still wet and had a ton of crab grass. We are glad we didn't pay more than $20 for the round. If the course gets the work it needs, we think it would be a great and challenging course! The pro shop staff was very friendly!

Course was nice, simple, open, had a good time. Greens were fast, fairways, tee boxes and greens were in great condition. Facilities take you back in time for sure.

Staff was friendly. Ranger ensured the guys in front of us moved it along. Aeration still noticeable on the greens but always a great course!

Although the pace slowed tremendously on the back 9, the course redid their cart paths and they look/feel amazing! Played this course when I first started and was not happy with it...loved it today..will be back for another hot deal - think the cost is a little steep without the discount!

Pace was great, a few young adults were in front of us and they allowed us to play through. Course has practically no flat areas; so not for beginners. If we had a course map I would have been more cautious on a few holes with my driver. The score card did have a distance on the hazard holes - but didn't realize it until the end of the round. Greens are in the process of maturing so in the next week or two it should be perfect. Liked the course and will be back!

I was here back in December/January and thought the course ownership change was a great improvement. Was disappointed with coming back this time. Staff wasn't as friendly, the fairways (and rough) do not look like they are getting much attention, and overall I just felt like the course has gone a little downhill - this was one of my go to courses every time I'm in Florida and now I'm not so sure. I loved this course, I truly hope they pick it back up so it can continue to be a favorite.

Was out before a memorial day outing and had the course to myself. Course was kind enough to have the outing start around ME...so I didn't catch up to them until hole 16...great day, enjoyed it very much...finished my round in 2 hours!

With have four courses the place was quite busy, but they have their act together with getting folks off on time, etc. Waits were not too long and it was a beautiful day so I think everyone took off work to play. Overall was a great experience!
