Poor shape

This was my first game of 2023 and playing with a high handicap friend, I can appreciate the openness of the course and it was good practice to just get out and swing. The course was rather boring in that way but ok. Half the greens good, the other half needed some help but mostly, the fairways and such seemed really run down. Yes there was some rain in past couple days but WAY TOO MUCH debris on fairways and several tee boxes just needing a cut. Grass too long, debris and an angle made it tough. I ran into a person who has stayed on the course for the past 12 years and he said when new owners took over three years ago, they just cut costs everywhere and let it go. I’m Canada east coast our season is short and golf often costs more but a course like this should cost about $50cdn as it was pretty much straight away every hole. Paying $75 USD was was overpayment for sure nice weather and good company saved the day. Had I been on my own I’d be pretty upset. Mow your lawns and clean up the debris and be proud of your work for gosh sakes

Great track

Played off the blue tees which was all this 14 handicapper could take. The course out muscled me and while I found it very fair, I did find it tough to stop a ball on some greens (when I actually hit them haha) the greens were lightening fast which was not good for me, but they were in great shape. I hope to come back to this area again and I’ll play for sure. I lucked out with a perfect weather and what I thought was crazy value with a hot deal on golf now for $40. Very good course, you need the yardage book. It’s tough, but fair.

Perfect weather

great day with new friends

had my first round of the year at the course. We played off the white tees' and while many of the holes were not brutally long, playing to the pins with the wind up was difficult. I would say that everything about the round was great ( apart from my score) except two things. 1- the greens were good, but not the "amazing" I was lead to believe. 2- I also thought from reading somewhere that there was gps on the carts and there wasn't. for me, this made it tough as there wer a few holes, where you just didn't know how much room past a bunker you may have, or a couple of slightly blind tee shots. When a club charges you that kind of money, gps should be on the cart OR, they should just give the yardage books away. However, a great day out, super enjoyable course and yes, i"d go back and play again for sure
