Love The New Course

This was the 4th time I've played Memorial Park over the past 6 months. Sadly the Texas freeze (in Feb.) hurt the course condition a little bit, but I have faith the grounds crew will have it back to great shape soon.
Hole #2 is closed which was a bummer. It looks like a great short par 3 over the new ravine area. But I do love the new layout and how they used this ravine area that used to be covered by trees.
The course is challenging for high handicappers as most of the greens are elevated or have strong slopes away, but my group of 10-20 handicappers enjoyed the challenge. Can't wait to watch the pros play in Nov.
The putting green, chipping area, and driving range are all fantastic and large.

*I am a Houston Resident so I only paid $48 for this round. Non-Houston Resident fees are around $140*

Spring 2021 the course is in bad shape

I played here yesterday for the first time ever and only picked it because of the decently high rating on Golfnow. I was very disappointed with the condition of the course. The greens have small weed patches growing all over and are in generally bad shape. You can hit your ball in the middle of the fairway only to walk up to it and find it in the middle of a large dirt patch that's like hitting off of concrete. I only paid $29 (twilight round), so I wasn't out too much, but I'd gladly pay $10-15 more for a course that's in better shape. And some of the other courses around town in a similar price range (southwyk, clear creek, quail valley, gus wortham) are in much better shape.

I won't be coming back here for a long time until they fix it back up.

Not Worth The Money

There are a lot of other courses around the same price range that I'd rather play. Wildcat is very similar in price and much nicer.
