Played On 02/21/2014Cart path only made for a long round and workout
The course was in great condition for this time of year, with good dormant turf to hit from tee to green. However, the cart-pat- only rule for today made it very tiring by the time we finished. Very little traffic, but a lost ball here and there, and the long trek from the cart path had us tuckered out by the end of the round. Lots of rolling hills with fairly narrow fairways added a good challenge. You don't come back to the clubhouse at the turn, so we had to take water with us, which was fine. But I should've taken a stronger beverage for my back. No GPS, but seldom had difficulty getting distance from the cart path and sprinkler heads. Golfnow.com made this outing possible, with the excellent rate we had, and I will definitely be playing this course again when my game is in full swing. When you leave the clubhouse, there is no 1st tee marker at the tee at the practice green, and we turned left instead of right because we didn't see the driving range-first tee sign at the end of the cart path at the street to the right. After a U-turn and a lost minute, we figured it out, but the sign is a good distance from the tee in the cart path at the practice green. Will know next time.

Played On 8/27/2013Challenging sloped fairways and undulating greens
The course was in excellent condition, with ideal length of grass on the fairways, tees, and greens. It played very quickly with few others on the course in the afternoon, yet decent breezes kept playing conditions comfortable with the amount of shade and the drinking water available on the course. The sloped fairways provided an extra challenge, and the undulating greens were somewhat fast, but added interest and challenge.

Played On 8/21/2013I liked the redesign that was made since I last played the course, with what used to be a difficult hole #3 now being played as #10.
The course was in excellent condition, and the pace of play was very good because the tourism season has wound down some. I found the course to be less frustrating by changing the layout to make the previous #3 hole now #10. It seems to make more sense now, and allows people to settle in to their game before the challenging, but fun #10 hole. I plan to play it much more now because of their changes.

Played On 2/9/2013Greens were true and fairways fairly open.
The greens were fairly fast but true, and the fairways were cut pretty short. I hit my first-ever hole-in-one on the par 3 108 yard 16th, and my friend chipped in from 50 feet on the 15th, so we had an outing we'll never forget! It was about 40 degrees out although the forecast had called for the low 50's, but we didn't cancel because we had booked through GolfNow.com. Sure glad we ended up playing!

Your buttons after the first one only allowed three choices each; sliding did not work. Could only go to extreme left, extreme right, or middle.
Branson Creek was in excellent condition, particularly for playing in early February. Although challenging with water carries, valleys, and sloping fairways, the fairways are relatively wide and open, and the greens are large, and pretty true. Greens were somewhat fast, but consistent and true. This was my first time playing this course as well as another member of our threesome, and one person had played it before. Still, I was able to get distances from sprinkler heads and other markers, such as on the cart path and in the fairways pretty easily compared to many other courses without GPS. I particularly liked the range and chipping/putting practice before play, which probably helped my score.
