Quarry Ridge is a course I like in central CT. The course isn’t long from the blue tees but you have to hit it straight. I know people that don’t care for the course but they are the ones that are fairway averse. The greens rolled nice. A lot of ball marks that weren’t being fixed by golfers. Traps are an issue historically I didn’t end up in any so I can’t review sand. Fairways were maintained and tee boxes ok at best. Great place for a fall round. We were lucky weather was perfect and no wind so leaves weren’t an issue unless you strayed from fairways. Group in front of us was not playing the right tee box for their game so that slowed us down but the weather was so nice we overlooked that. Try it if you haven’t.

Played Westover on a beautiful day after very heavy rain a couple days earlier. The course was in great condition given the amount of rain received recently. Traps were all raked and dry. Course was mowed and very well taken care of. The old tree lined fairways are a gem. Staff was nice. 4 hour round. Greens rolled well and putts were consistent green to green. Worth the hour and 15 minute drive to check it out.

Manchester was in great shape this early in the year. Fairways looked like it was early summer not spring. Greens rolled well and pace was great. 4 hr round with 4

The Player course is a very nice course to play in the fall. Picturesque to say the least. Course must have had significant rain recently because there was standing water in a number of fairways. It was cart path only which was necessary but it does slow the play. The traps had been raked and were mostly dry which means they have decent traps. Fairways were blown of leaves as well as greens. The tee boxes need a lot of work. I was disappointed that a nice course like this didn’t send someone out to fill divot’s each afternoon. Overall the course is fun to play you have to hit shots not just bomb away and the views add to the day.

The course was in very good shape. Greens were a bit slow but in good condition and fairways trimmed well. Noticed bunkers were raked by staff and looked clean of debris. Its a nice track and we played a great pace. I play the black tees so the par adjustment makes it a challenge to hit par. Well worth the discounted price online.

I am a very impressed at the condition of the course the greens and tee boxes. They are doing a great job at the little things as well like around water and ball washers. Greens were true. Nice job to staff.

I have been playing at The Ranch since it opened and have watched the course mature. The only reason I gave course conditions a Good was that the greens were recently aerated (but didn't impact putting too much, hitting into the greens it checked because they were soft). The fairways, rough and traps were in great condition. The rough (grasses) were in great condition as well and the improvements in the last year to where they let the grasses grow were much appreciated from a visual standpoint. Plenty of water on course, electric carts and practice facilities were helpful on the overall experience.

The course is a nice challenge for seasoned golfers. Fairways are tight and not flat so they make you think of the next shot always. Greens were in good shape. I would play again..3 hr drive for me. I was behind people that should not have been playing the course which resulted in a 5 hour round. Traps were not raked by anyone.

The Tradition was in pretty good shape for this time of year. Grass looks to be growing there and greens have been mowed. Good rolling no surprises a bit dry but not after today. Traps need some work.

I went to portland West for a practice round and was surprised what good shape the course was in. Greens were nice but a little slow. Note there was 2 inches of rain the night before. The fairways were great. Nice job on the drainage!! Tee boxes were in great shap as well. Every golfer should be adding it to their list for a practice or fun round. I will watch for specials and plan to return a couple time a year.

I play Blackledge a fair amount of rounds per year. I am pleased to say that the course was in beautiful shape. The maintenance staff is doing a wonderful job. Greens were absolutely beautiful. They were fast and rolled true. Had a relaxing mid week round with little traffic. I would recommend getting out there soon it is a wonderful course to play in the fall.

Quarry Ridge is a course that I play at least a couple times a year. The layout is both practical as well as a challenging. You can really test your skills from the TIPS or play a relaxing game from the whites (played blues). The course was in great condition. Greens rolled true (little slow) even though I played midday. Fairways were very well groomed as were the tee boxes. Traps were raked as they should be. Had a great deal from Golf Now which made it all the better.

Course has been maintained. Greens just had work done but are in good condition. Fairways and rest of course are being maintained very well given there seems to be a good amount of play on the course. I will be playing here again and watching for more specials on Golf Now.
