I've been bouncing around Tampa courses for a while; with one disappointment after another. (Come on Tampa -- you can do better....)

I was a member at Hunters Green -- which was terrific. I tried Sherman Hills on a whim assuming that it would be yet another disappointment.

I was completely wrong.

Really a lovely little course. Front nine is wide open play with the back nine nice and tight with more attention paid to accuracy.

Weather did not cooperate at all but just more reason to head back and give it another go.

I really enjoyed it. I'll be back!

Lovely little course. But.... When it takes 4:45 hours it's a disaster. Shoot a 125 - fine. But when you are lying 4 and 200 yards out from the pin, you loose the right to plumb bob your putts.!!!

Get a ranger and keep pace of play up to the absolute loveliness of the course standards.

Needs an active course ranger to keep pace of play going. Nobody playing this course is a pro. If your lying 6 at 210 from the green on a 398 par. 4, pick up the ball and drop it on the green. Please. A good. Ranger would enforce this...

Really lgood overall vibe. Nice little layout. Risk reward is high, 2 iron or driver - you decide. I think,it was top shelf in its day but now, a bit sketchy around the edges. Traps are junk. Tees are bad. Fairways need help. Greens could be awesome with some TLC. I say can the maintenance staff, hire some real pros, invest in this gem and get it back to a top tier course...
