Sandpiper Bay Golf & Country Club - Sand Nine
Played On 12/19/2017Played the Piper and Bay nines. The staff was friendly and accommodating from the pro shop, bag attendant, and starter. Range balls were included. Range is not very wide, but there is a nice chipping area and separate putting green. The course is solid. Mix of doglegs, shorter and longer holes, and good par 3s. They dye the greens for winter play, but the greens roll true and were at a good speed. Fairways, tees, and bunkers all in good shape. Will definitely return. A pleasure to play!
Honeybrook Golf Club
Played On 07/19/2017This Course Is A HONEY!
Played early this morning to beat the hot weather. The course is a solid design. Holes have a mice mix of varying length, elevation changes, and doglegs. Greens are very smooth, with subtle breaks. Generous fairways allow for aggressive play off the tee, but there are a number of hazards that come into play. My friend and I played in 3 and a half hours. Only negative was a member who yelled at us to speed up, even though his group was 2 holes behind us. Whatever! Otherwise, 2 thumbs up for Honeybrook!
Sandpiper Bay Golf & Country Club - Sand Nine

Got a good price on Golf Now. Conditions were chilly and breezy but sunny. Greens were excellent, rolled fast and smooth. Winter overseed was thin on the fairways, otherwise course conditions rating would be higher. Good value overall though. They have a nice practice facility, including range, chipping/pitching green, and large putting green. Staff was very accommodating. Would recommend it for overall value.
Byrd at Sea Trail Golf Resort and Convention Center
Played On 01/15/2017Sea Trail - Byrd
My first time playing the Byrd course. Sea Trail has 3 courses; I have previously played the Maples. I am 62 years old, and play to about a 14 handicap. Played the white tees, which were about 6,150 yards. As a short hitter in the winter months, with soft (but not wet) fairways, this is about max distance for me. Course layout is good with a mix of doglegs, several par 4's between 375 and 390, and some par-5's yielding birdie opportunities. The par3 holes are good as well, with several that play over the corners of lakes. This is a solid, if not spectacular course. I would play it again as the rack rate in January is reasonable.
Berkleigh Golf Club
Played On 07/17/2016Always An Enjoyable Course
Course was in generally good condition. Greens were receptive and moderately fast, fairways tight. The rough was not too thick and actually brown in a few spots. Two items that need attention are the bunkers and some cart path areas. Several bunkers were very hard with very little sand beneath the surface. Some cart part areas have tree roots that make driving the cart something akin to a mini Baha 1000. Be careful! Otherwise the course remains in good condition and I would recommend it. Our threesome played in 4 hrs.
