Driving range was closed yet it wasn’t specified on Golfnow. I even called the pro shop to see if there were any course concerns brought on by the recent hurricane- nothing was said about the range. The rough was very long and we spent half our day looking for golf balls that didn’t find the fairway, but should’ve been easy to locate. Las Colinas is a tight course and keeping the rough shorter would make play more enjoyable. I’ve played this course before and it’s always impeccable, so I assume it hadn’t been mowed due to the hurricane and sogginess. The greens were impeccable. All in all, not a bad day. But just a little frustrating.

The lady working the register in the clubhouse was super friendly. She provided me the online coupon rate but I was not even aware of. The pace of play for the first six holes was not very good, thanks to a twosome in front of us it took forever. There was no course ranger. We had to jump past them and skip a hole. Good thing we did, or we would’ve been there for a very long time. Overall, the course conditions are much better than I what I remember years ago. The greens were in excellent shape. Tee boxes were a little sparse, but for the price, it was well worth it. I will definitely be back.

Played here many times and it never disappoints. Course was in great shape. Greens were immaculate. The rough was a little lengthy in places, but it wouldn't have been an issue if I hit more fairways. All in all, well worth the drive and money.

Have lived in Florida for 10 years and this was my first time here. It’s now one of my favorites, if not #1. The course, the staff, and the pace of play was excellent. The course was somewhat open like a links course, so it was forgiving. It almost felt like I was playing up north. If you’ve not play this course, you need to.

Played here many times over the past few years. Not a great course, but a good place to play with liberal rules, like giving yourself a club length in the fairway to find a better patch of grass to hit from. Greens were in pretty rough shape, it always have been. They were puttable, but just bumpy. The new golf trailer is very nice and the gold carts are excellent. I played by myself and was able to play in 3 hours, but only because there was a group of 8 and a group of 6 playing together. Instead of letting me play through, they offered to let me skip holes and jump in front of them - Seriously? I guess they just don’t know proper golf etiquette. Course could stand to have a ranger, but I managed. The staff was super friendly. All in all, about like the course has always been. Don’t go there expecting anything substantial. Just go there to have fun. Definitely worth the low price.

Played the El Campeon twice this year and was pleased both times. From start to finish it's a great experience. Plenty of F/B service on the course. Course was in pristine condition. Greens were superb. It's not your typical resort course. When you play it, you know it's almost 100 years old. It just feels historic.

I hadn't played this course in many months. It was always easy to play a quick afternoon round in the summer if you can stand the heat. Apparently the course is under new ownership and has a new superintendent. New mowing equipment too. The tee boxes and greens are better than I've ever seen. The fairways and rough need a lot of work, but they are heading in the right direction. I'll defintely go back!
