Arizona Traditions Golf Club
Played On 08/04/2018Fun Round!
Really enjoyed playing here, pace was good, course was in great condition, but wasn't so hard that I wanted to walk off. That's important as I just started back playing after a 30 year absence, and some courses are so tough that I just don't learn a lot because I'm just trying to survive. Will gladly play here again!
Golf Club of Estrella
Played On 07/21/2018A Little Wet.
The start was understandably confusing, we had an 8:13 am tee time, the rain was coming down by 6:45 am and that really backed everyone up. Everyone that was out on the course had to be called back in due to lightning. We got out about 9 am, things were a little hectic trying to sort everyone out, but they did a great job getting us finally going. It's a challenging course for a just returning player like me (just came back 7 weeks ago after a 30 year hiatus), but it's not so hard that I would avoid playing here, plus, I'm moving in 6 months and will end up two miles from this course, so it will be my home course. All in all, I really like this course, and it will certainly help me learn my game and improve me as a player, so that is a really good thing from where I stand. I will play again many times!

Really enjoyed this course, fairways and greens very well kept, which is important at this time of year in Arizona. Because I just started playing again a few weeks back, the course had challenge to it, but not so much that it left me not wanting to go back out. My group enjoyed the round and we will be back to play here again!
Lookout Mountain Golf Club
Played On 07/04/2018Much Too Crowded
This just wasn't any fun to play. While it was very hot out, that wasn't the issue. At one point, think around the 10th hole, we had no less than three foursomes sitting at the tee box, and we had been backed up the entire course. What I understood from the group in front of us, was that they has a group in front of them with a child playing, and they were playing very slowly. Somewhere on the back nine, the child stopped playing, but the parents continued to play just as slow as they could. Took 4 hours and 45 minutes to complete the round, nothing short of ridiculous. I won't play here again, I don't like playing when people are running up my backside. The views are amazing, but beyond that it just isn't worth my time to go there, these guys are more about money and packing in as many as they can and less about quality of play.
Koosemano,
Thank you for taking the time to review Lookout Mountain Golf Club. We apologize that we were not able to uphold our 4:18 pace of play on the 4th of July. Being a holiday, we were rather busy, but we do use 10 minute tee time intervals as opposed to some neighboring courses using 8-9 minute intervals.
We do hope you will give us another try as our guest. Please email matt.nagel@hilton.com with any other concerns or if you would like to come play Lookout Mountain again.
