GCC has been one of our favorite course and right now the course is in immaculate shape, you could have tour events and the tour pros would commend.
the greens are rolling true and are fair when you hit a good shot they stop.
with all the rains the green is still rolling true. hats of the greenskeeper for keeping this in such exceptional shape.
Instead of Driving to palm springs, you have a course in your backyard that is in impeccable shape and at a fraction of the cost.
Castle Creek Country Club
Played On 06/20/2020Caste Creek - Gone Wrong
My Buddy and I have been playing Castle Creek for a while and it has been one of our favorite course. but recently the course is charging $65 for twilight on GolfNow really? if the $$$ goes towards improving the course we can understand, attaching the photos, see the plight of the greens and fairway. would you pay $65 to play this course?
The owners need to seriously consider current market and focus on volume and not premium, this course doesn't have the facilities right now to charge $65, I would go and play East Lake Instead for these prices.

Rams Hill Golf Club
Played On 12/03/2017Extremely Windy.....
The course is in immaculate shape, hats off to the greenskeeper for taking such good care, every course in San Diego could benefit from the skill possessed by these guys.
Suggestion, do not play this course in the afternoon, the wind makes it practically impossible to play. Pay the extra few dollars and play early morning, do not be fooled by the $80 afternoon rate. overall, like many have said there isn't a course in San Diego that can match the condition/stunning views this course has.

Castle Creek Country Club
Played On 01/28/2017Castle Creek is Back --- at least for now.
The recent rains has brought the course back to its past glory, so I would recommend everyone to make the trip to this beautiful course before it takes a beating and falls into disrepair. the fairways and greens are in really really good shape.
For the price and the location, you cannot find anything better in San Diego County.
Redhawk Golf Club

Always love coming down to Redhawk the course is very unique and the layout is great. However the course is overbooked, DO NOT rely on online websites to know if the course is booked or not. the course is always double booked and it takes over 5 hours to finish a round of golf. We tee'd of around 12:40 and could not finish 18 holes. the course should play take no more than 4 hours to finish. the fairways on the front 9 are ok. the back 9 is in pretty bad shape, hopefully it will recover before spring. the greens are in fantastic shape. I would play there again provided the course is not super busy!

Played On 10/09/2016GCC one of the best courses in north county.
GCC has always been one of the premier courses in north county, the last few outings the course looked to be in pretty bad shape. however, to our surprise the course appears to have improved pretty significantly. the greens are in very very good shape. the fairways have a few dry spots here and there, but given the lack of rain. the groundskeeper is doing an outstanding job keeping the course in such good shape during challenging times like this.
the greens are rolling really well and fast but very receptive to good shots.
I am pretty sure it is only going to get better once we get the long awaited rain.
