I have played the golf course at Runaway Bay on several occasions however I must say that this was the worst conditioned golf course that I have ever played. The first green was in a horrible condition and the course got worse from there. The grass around the third green was so long that I lost 3 balls within 10 yards of the green. The fairways were so hard and so rocky that they wouldn't even hold a shot most of the time. And I hit a ball in the middle of the fairway on the 8th hole and had to look seriously for my ball in the fairway, absolutely ridiculous. The back 9 was in much better shape however it was nothing to brag about or nothing to even compliment the course concerning. On the 18th tee box the grass was at least 4 to 5 inches long. It was so long in fact, that I had to find a spot 3 full clubs from the tee markers just to be able to T up my ball. I recommend that they close down the entire front nine for at least 6 months of dedicated and total maintenance and repair of the golf course. The course has a nice layout but I would not recommend this golf course to anyone. And if you have to drive more than 5 minutes to get there I would not waste my time nor my money and I drove over an hour to play this course.

First time playing this course. I had never really considered playing here because I thought that it would be just another one of those ho hum city courses that only a beginner would think was worth his time, but I was pleasantly surprised by the layout and challenging design of the course, especially the back nine. I will definitely be back.

White Stone is a gem of a golf course. The layout is excellent and there are a few surprises for you if you are not familiar with the golf course. The only drawback for this course is the bunkers. They are very hard and crusty and need some sand instead of the natural dirt that the course uses. Other than that, it has everything that a golfer who is looking for a challenge, could ask for, risk/reward shots, blind approaches, short par 4's and some very long ones. The greens are in excellent shape as well and roll fast. My favorite hole is the par 3 hole #11, beautiful hole. Bring your "A" game if you play this course and if you want to play the tips, bring your "A+" game if you want to survive!!

Though this was over an hour's drive for me, it was a course that I would definitely play again. I was a little disappointed in the fact that they had recently punched most of the greens but had not sanded or cut them for the most part; so a lot of them were very bumpy and slooow!!! I love the bend grass greens though and I know that if they sand them now, in a couple of weeks when they come back in, they will be absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait to play here again, thanks Golfnow!

I found this course to be both estetically pleasing as well as a nice challenge to even the most advanced golfer. The course is not that long (only 6650 yds.) from the tips, but it makes you hit all of the shots. Lots of doglegs, water and tight driving holes, so if you are looking for a wide open course where you can play military golf, this ain't it. Some of the tee boxes were very hard, especially the back tees, and the fairways were hard as well, but the greens held very well and putted well. I look forward to playing here again.

If want to test your game, Old Brickyard is a great place to play. No two holes are alike. You have a little of everything you want in a golfing challenge and for some guys, a lot of things that they don't want. We played form the tips which still was only 6300 yds., but as the saying goes, "Don't let the smooth taste fool you", well if you are an advanced golfer such as myself, then don't let the 6300 yds. fool you into thinking that you can manhandle this course, because if you want a challenge, play the tips and you'll see exactly what I mean!!! Even for golfers who are not so advanced you will have a challenge from the white or blue tees as well.

First time playing this course and I was pleasantly surprised. The course was in good condition. There were a couple of greens that had been aerated but for the most part the greens were fine. Course is kind of short for big hitters and there is trouble that can come into play that you can't see until you get there, i.e. water! Will definitely be back. It was a nice little gem.

Firewheel Lakes course is an excellent golf course and is in very good condition for this time of year. The greens were fast and smooth and you had to hit the ball in the in the fairway to have a chance at a good score. Lots of water and traps.

This is an outstanding golf course and a great value on golfNow. I will definitely come back and play this course anytime I come to the Tampa Bay area. The course is in pristine condition and has a challenging layout.

The course has a good layout, but it could stand a lot more work to get it in decent shape. I assume that is because it gets a lot of play! The greens were okay, but the fairways leave a lot to be desired and aesthetically, the course just does not look good.

Beautiful golf course. Unexpectedly cold and windy day so it was even more challenging than normal. Greens were fast and smooth 12 -13 on stimpmeter. Golfnow value was great deal, will look to play here again using GN discount.
