Oxbow Country Golf Course

Nice layout for a nine hole country track. No goofy holes and a challenge when windy. Very good greens. Good value for your money considering it’s proximity to Calgary. Very accommodating staff.

Nicely laid out course with overall forgiving fairways. Greens and fairways in good shape considering time of year. No goofy holes and for most holes a challenge to play. I will be back.
Oxbow Country Golf Course
Played On 04/22/2017Nice layout. Challenging par threes. No goofy holes on this course. Greens were in good shape considering early season. Accuracy a must with the ravines in play on several holes. A windy day makes it interesting. I would come back.
Orange Tree Golf & Conference Resort

Fairways are generous which helps if you're not having a good day off the tee. Despite a very flat layout the course is very visually appealing with a great variety of mature trees lining the spacious fairways on most holes. Enough water and sand to keep you honest and well manicured fairways and really nice greens when we played. In stark contrast to the excellent course condition is the shape of the driving range (you can literally count the blades of grass here) which is the absolute worst I've seen in the Phoenix area. Place of play was just short of 5 hours with no visible enforcement to speed things up. Beverage service was great and despite the aforementioned negatives I would definitely play here again. For what it's worth I did politely mention the above concerns to staff on way out and found no disagreement.

I heard the course had fallen on hard times a few years ago but had recovered well under new management. This appears to be true. We played a fast round on a very enjoyable but not easy track. Nice challenging layout with its share of bunkers, water and tight holes. As a first time player number 11 ate me up....who's the sadist that dreamed up a blind 240 yard carry from the blues?? Oh well. I heard snowmen(8) are illegal in Arizona (take a 7 instead) but if you get a second one in a round you have to take a nine. Arizona natl was good value for the money and I would go back.
