Played On 06/04/2022I plan to play here again!
I booked on GolfNow which required me to pay once I arrived at the course. Upon arrival I could tell it was going to be a good experience. The Pro Shop staff were very friendly. I used the driving range prior to my round. The driving range is rather small, but it gets the job done. I played with a friend and was paired with a lovely couple (Bill & Karen) who are members of the club. They were able to help us navigate the course and were so very nice and cordial. Overall, the course is fantastic. It presents a moderate level of difficulty, but I found it to be a very fun course. Tee Boxes were, for the most part, in great shape. The fairways were great. The Greens played a little fast and they didn't make efforts to prevent crowning around the cups, but my putting game was nowhere good enough to make complaints about that.
Again, Bill & Karen were so wonderful and courteous to us. We even stuck around after our round and had a steak dinner at the restaurant located inside the clubhouse. I hope that I am able to make it back out to the course and play again before I leave town.

Played On 04/17/2021Great Course with Friendly Staff
I was the only person to book a round through the Golf Now app today. Manager was very friendly and excited that I booked it through GN as they’re just getting set up with it.
The course was in pretty good shape given the amount of snow that has melted here in the past few weeks. I was very surprised at how little standing water there was around the course. Tee boxes weren’t too wet. Fairways were in good shape. Not a whole lot of hazards which is great to me!
The greens were a little slow for most people, but were just perfect for me. I like greens that play a little slow as I tend to launch balls off of the faster greens. Lol
The pace of play was honestly just right for me. I had a threesome in front of me and a double behind me and we were all locked in on pace. Never had to wait and never felt rushed. Pace of play gets 5 stars from me!
Driving Range was good for warming up. A large bag was like $4.
All in all, I enjoyed myself and I look forward to spending a few more afternoons out there.
Pecan Lakes Golf Course
Played On 06/12/2018Course was great as always
The only “gripe” I have about this round was that portions of the course were really dry. That being said, it has been really windy lately and I understand the course can only do so much to keep up with it.
Greens were faster than normal, but that’s a good thing since these greens are usually really slow.
Tee boxes were neat and freshly mowed.
Rough was in good shape and there’s only a couple places where you might lose a ball. (Excluding water of course.)
Staff was super friendly, as always.
I played this round on a Hot Deal and paid $12. You just can’t beat that! I live 35 minutes away and I will drive to this course any day of the week. (I actually do tend to drive to this course at least once a week.)
City Course at The Phillips Event Center
Played On 06/03/2018Average Local Course
There are a LOT of trees on this course. The fairways are tight which means this is not a course for the beginner/amateur.
The tee boxes and fairways are kept in pretty good condition. The greens aren’t consistent at all though. Some roll super fast and other act like your putting through molasses.
The staff comes buzzing by while your teeing off without a care in the world and they’ll randomly cut across the fairways right in front of you.
Pace of play suffers because this is a BUSY course. You will literally be waiting at each tee box.
The club house staff has always been nice and carry clubs, clothes, balls and other accessories in stock.
Honestly if your a 0-10 handicap then this course would be fun for you. I won’t be back for a while as the greens staff ruined my last two rounds here, but I think it is worth checking out if you’ve never played it.
Eagle Crest Golf Club
Played On 09/10/2017Had a BLAST!
This was my first time to play here as I'm in town for work so here is my take:
1) Staff was great! As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile. Pro Shop was a little small, but they do have anything that you might need in a last minute situation.
2) I started off by hitting a bucket at the range which is right behind the pro shop that overlooks part of the course. Large bucket is roughly 75 balls and was only $9.
3) The Marshall was really nice and upbeat. We cracked a few jokes before he told us to get out of there and go have a good time.
4) Course was very well maintained. The fairways were neat & manicured while the rough was still very playable. It's a challenging course, or at least it is for a novice golfer like me. The greens were very fast, but they were in great shape.
5) WATER HAZARDS! I lost two balls to water. While the scenery is very nice, there is water lurking around every corner! Lol Ok maybe not EVERY corner, but there are several just waiting to get you so be sure to check before you swing.
6) Pace of play was a bit slow for the first 4-5 holes, but once we played through it was smooth sailing all the way.
Overall, I really enjoyed myself despite shooting an 82. I will PROBABLY be back this coming Sunday to try and break 80.
