Best conditions in the world guaranteed

I am a member and play the course all the time. I have never seen a golf course meet it's conditions. It's expensive but still the best golf course (conditions wise) I have ever played. If you can get on it play it. It is being renovated by Pete dye right now and will be done on October 1st of 2014 and I would expect it to be even better architecturally and conditions the same (perfect) the greens are FAST I would compare this course to Augusta at it's prime in every way. They run them at 13's on an average day and 14 'a on club tournament days. There is NOBODY on the course past noon. And pace of play is as fast as you make it. Pro shop is fine. Range is fine and practice facility is perfect. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this course. You will have no problems with this course what so ever if you are a decent golfer. Guaranteed best course you'll ever play. Some of the pros have played Augusta and they say the ford plantation is in better condition. The BEST golf course you'll ever play.

Go to crosswinds

This course has dead and dying greens the only good thing they have done is in the past month and all they did was let the grass grow out a little more in the fairways so you don't have a hard pan lie. They dont put anything in to it. Very short. A lot of irons off tees. Which is all it should be. Don't think to play golds just because it's short. I drive it between 260-270 on any decent drive and I play from blues at most. The greens may "roll true" if that's what you want to say but they don't have any actual breaks. The course designer is just some man and his son. I absolutely hate what they have done with it. It used to be decent. But poor upkeep has left the fairways impossible if cut short and there is no rough. There is just bad lies. No fairway or second cut. The fairways are firm with no roll though. But half the time they slope into the woods. I have had terrible experience with the staff. I called one time and the answer I got when they picked up was "sterling links what do you want." Clubhouse is a trailer. Practice green is not worth practice. Not worth the money at all. Crosswinds golf course is extremely nice they have free waters as many as you want on a hot day and the greens are perfect. It's definitely gonna be a little more with the cart but they let you play the par 3 course practically for free if you walk. And everyone just plays it to warm up anyways. The pat 3 courses greens are a little slower sometimes though. Sterling is an awful course and needs to be renovated badly. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
