The course is exceptional! From tee to green the Finley course is in excellent condition. The only concern is that it is a long course from any tee and each hole requires one’s best effort. There are no easy holes on this course. We were told that many of the seniors (men) play from the red tees. Better bring your “A” game if your a senior and playing here.

The course was in excellent condition. Course layout is challenging and fun to play.For the first time ever I saw on the score card, fun tees. What a cleaver idea. An even shorter set of markers for those that are a little older, we did not play from these tees but felt the course management had a good response to people’s needs.

Greens and tee boxes were in good shape. Fairways need a lot of work, many areas with little or no grass. Numerous areas under repair. A really nice layer out course. My understanding is that management is aware of the need for improvement and they have a plan to address the areas of concern. Rumor has it they will start major improvements to the fairways, etc. commencing in April. This could bring the course back to higher standards that existed in the past. It is a very nice course, I hope management is successful.

Port Charlotte is a good Course. The greens were in good . Tee boxes and traps / bunkers were also in very good condition. Fairways need work, there were many areas were there was little or no grass and several areas were under repair.

The course was in exceptional shape. Greens were great , fairways and rough in good shape. Staff is there to help and they value players. Give them an A on this report card.

We found the greens to be in excellent condition. Tee boxes were okay. Fairways and other general areas need lots of work. In numerous cases there was no grass, some weeds. A few holes did have reasonable fairways but for the most part that was not the case. Bunkers were in pretty good condition. I would expect that conditions will improve since there was evidence that areas of concern are being addressed.

The course was in very good shape. Greens were fast and in excellent shape. Layout was enjoyable. A very good course to play if you want to make your day a little better. This was particularly enjoyable because I normally play once per week but had not played in several months because of the treat of Covid 19.

Greens are in nice shape, fairways have many areas with little or no grass. Practice putting area in rough shape. One can tell that the grounds crew is working hard to maintain the course. It appears the weather and considerable play to this point has taken their toll. Having played this course for many years, there is no question that it will recover and one would certainly rate it higher. Some good soaking rain and continuing care will turn the course around.

We have played this course a number of times over the past 3 or 4 years. The course continues to improve and is in the best shape ever. The greens are excellent , fairways in excellent, tee boxes in good shape, roughs are also in good condition. A excellent course to play and well worth the money.

The course is fun to play, interesting layout with many challenges which make the course enjoyable to play. Several of the tee boxes and a few of the greens needed attention . Roughs were high, causing extra time required to find balls that settled down into the grass when off the fairway. We lost a number of balls but found many more than we lost. This is a quality course worth playing.

The course was in excellent condition, very well maintained for a public course

We have play a number of courses in the area and this course was in the worst shape of those played, it needed attention.It has a nice lay out and a lot to offer. Unfortunately, tee boxes were in poor condition, there were a number of areas on the fairways that needed repair.. There are a number of greens that need attention. We have played this course many times in the past and it is in poor shape compared to the past. Perhaps this is due to the weather or the type of grasses used. There was evidence that many of the issues are being addressed, grass seed, tee boxes taken out of service for repairs,etc. There is a lot of work to be done, perhaps, it is planned for repairs to be completed before the majority of snow birds return in January.

We have played this course a number of times over the past several years. It is in the best condition ever. Greens, fairways are in excellent condition. It was a pleasure to play this course.

The course was in very good shape. Obviously, the grounds crew works very hard to keep the course in excellent condition. The snack room was very good with a friendly staff. The pro shop personal were top drawer and very friendly and helpful. The practice areas were well maintained and were very enjoyable to use from the putting green to the driving range. Nice course, in reasonable shape, interesting layout

The course was in pretty good shape. Greens were fast and enjoyable. The practice facilities are a real advantage. Certainly the kind of course that makes golf enjoyable,, the course test ones skills and can be fun for golfers of all skill levels. There are numerous challenges, water, bunkers, traps, short and long holes, dog legs, trees, etc. This is a well layed out course that makes you think resulting in enjoyable golf.

The course needs attention. There were a few holes in decent shape but the majority of fairways lacked grass, lots of weeds and areas with little grass. The putting green was shabby, greens overall on the course were in reasonable shape. Tee boxes were average.. Perhaps, these conditions may be caused by a high volume of play. I would hesitate to recommend this course to others because the majority of other courses we have played are/ were in much better shape.
