Cow Pasture
The only thing missing from this place is the cows. Because that is exactly what it is like playing. No sand in bunkers, Over growth of tree's and bush's, the fairways all have weeds and patches all over. The greens are blotchy. The tee box's are horried, never had to hit out of the rough from a tee box before. It is just not taken care of, and it is quite evident. Pot holes and serious cracks in the concrete for the cart paths.
We moved back into the Miami Valley after a 8 year hiatus. We use to play this course quite a bit and it had a nice charm about it. Now it is just a dreary place. The staff (lady) had an attitude. If I owned or was part of this course in any way... I'd be embarrassed.
Maple Course at Locust Hills Golf Club

This course was never meant to be an exotic course. I'd consider it a a nice "muni." Although it is privately owned and in the country. For a nice simple place to get out and play... this is it. This place is the best bang for your buck. It is not a tough place or overwhelming to the eye. In 2016, the greens have been rolling really nice!
It is a fun place to play and the staff are THE NICEST people I've ever been around on any course. They are not pretentious. They are not out to suck up to you... and then try to suck your wallet dry. Very geniune folk. And the absolute best Coney Dog in the Miami Valley Area!
Cassel Hills Golf Course

First time playing, rolling fairways and greens. Course was in good condition. Took the whole front to get used to the course. Well worth it. Shot 42 on the front and 36 on the back. But... got lucky on the back because if I really knew the course I wouldn't have been pulling out Driver. Very tight on the back... worth the views!
I'd say this is very much worth the money and travel time to get there.
Cassel Hills Golf Course
Played On 06/30/2016Scenic and Beautiful
The course was in really nice condition. The layout was really different (in a good way) than most of the courses in the area. Tee boxes in good shape and the Greens ran true. I shot a 42 on the front. It took some time to get use to the course. Then I shot a 36 on the back with two birdies on the par 5's. BUT!!! If I new the course I would not have been pulling driver out on the back nine like I did. I got very lucky!!! That back nine is really challenging and eve scary if you know it.
A very scenic and beautiful course.
