High rough causes difficulty finding ball

Apparently, due to the overnight rain(?), the rough had not been mown. Thus, any ball just off the fairway was difficult to find. Greens and fairways okay. Do not forget to get your $5 cart key deposit back after the round. The golf course will certainly not remind you and pocket it as profit.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience, mtc2431. We apologize the conditions of the rough did not meet your expectations and we would encourage you to give us another try during dryer conditions.

Course in good shape.

Despite the heavy storms the previous week, the course drained relatively well, but still unfortunately resulted in cart path only golf. The course is demanding and well worth the long drive to play.

Old course with character

The course is not particularly long at 6400 yards from the tips, but the tree-lined fairways and undulating smallish greens make for challenging golf. You will need to play at least one round to determine course management as there are some severe doglegged holes and unseen water hazards from the tee boxes.

Nice course to test your game

You will need to think your way around to shoot a good score as there are many water hazards, trees, doglegs and up and downhill lies to test your shot making abilities.

Fairly flat course with doglegs and water hazards

The course is flat with no elevation changes. The fairways are bordered by mature trees with some water hazards. Elkhorn is not the most interesting golf course, but you will need to shape some of your drives to provide shorter approach shots to the green. The GN discounted fees make this course a good value for your time.

Course in ggod shape

You will need to play this course at least once or twice to figure out how to play some of the holes, or be fortunate to play with somebody that has some experience with the lay out. Some drives are blind shots as to the location of the green, and placement is key to avoid blocked shots to the green by mature trees.

Good course to get your confidence up if your game is down.

The course has many relatively short holes where you can sharpen your short irons to fire at the pins for birdie opportunities.

A challenging course that plays differently depending on the wind direction.

Delta View GC does not have the best golf cart paths or course conditions but the holes are varied and challenging. Wind directions change day to day causing you to think creatively with your club selection. The greens are excellent although somewhat slower compared to previous rounds. The pro shop is very friendly to GN customers and will get you out sooner than your booked tee time if the course is not busy.

Good golf course to test your game.

A little bit of everything...lateral water hazards, short and long dogleg left and right holes, and narrow and wide fairways as the golf course winds its way through the residential community. More golf course maintenance is necessary to improve playability and conditions. Some fairways need attention as two of my drives were dead center only to find a patch of no grass / crusty dirt. Many of the tee boxes were sparsely grown weed patches with no grass. The one bunker that I was in became very crusty by mid-afternoon.

Good course to play a quick round.

This is the first time I have played Coyote Run GC. The only hassle, which is forewarned when you receive your tee time confirmation, is waiting for your escort for the drive from the Beale AFB gate to the golf course. Otherwise, the rather inexpensive (cheap) GN rate is worth the time as the course does not get alot of play in the afternoon (heat) and I played a quick 18. The greens were rather spongey and correspondingly slow, but the course layout is challenging as most military golf courses are. If I lived closer, I would play this course frequently just because of the bargain green fees.

Course in good playing condition.

Typical slow play for a Sunday afternoon round. No starter or marshall on duty. My twosome using separate carts was stuck behind 4 walkers. Many thanks to the drink cart lady for providing advice on skipping a few holes to go around the slow group. Played the skipped holes after completing the 18th.

Greens and pace of play were slow.

The greens are apparently still recovering from aerification as the speed of the greens was much slower than past rounds. Also, the course needs a marshall to keep players moving as the pace of play was slow.

I'd email the golf course directly to make them aware. Golf already takes nearly an entire day as it is. Thanks for the head's up!

You should email the course to make them aware. Thank you for the head's up, golf takes enough hours out of the day already

Good course to practice your game and enjoy viewing wildlife.

For a Sunday afternoon round, the course was not terribly busy (took four hours to complete) and the price was right ($25). The course provides enough difficulty to practice your game as the fairways are narrow with a meadering creek either on the left or right side of most of the fairways. In addition, some of the fairways have sparse grass and the greens were slow. However, this is not a course to grind out your game, but to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature (lolling deer, gobbling turkey strutting about, and flappiing of geese taking off or landing).

Slow greens at a semi-private country club

I played solo this mid-Saturday afternoon round and was able to get around the very few golfers that were playing. The course has elevation changes with left and right dogleg tree-lined holes with some water. Although the course has difficulty, I was disappointed in the rather slow greens that the members like at this semi-private country club. It is worth it to play it at least once, but I will cross it off my bucket list since it is quite a distance from the bay area. If you do go, pay attention to the signs to the golf course or you might get lost.

Fairways and greens still recovering from aeration maintenance.

The overall layout of the golf course is interesting with dogleg left and right holes with elevation changes. I could not get a sense of the true conditions of the course since it was still recovering from aeration maintenance from 3 1/2 weeks prior. Pro shop staff was friendly.

Short holes contribute to slowish pace of play.

The West Course is shorter than the East Course. This shorter yardage is probably the reason less experienced golfers play the West and hence slower play. If you can keep your concentration with the choppy speed, the course is interesting with the need to use course management (placement of tee shots) on some of the holes instead of bombing away.

Good course to test your skills.

My review is on the downside since half of the fairways had been aerated with the golf cart limited to the path on six of the holes. When I booked the teetime on GN, there was no indication of this maintenance occurring. Had I known prior to booking, I may have chosen a different course to play. Other than the disappointment of not playing the course as it was intended to be played, the golf course meanders through a valley and hilly areas. It presents various challenges of uphill and downhill lies, dogleg left and right off the tees and some water hazards and trees. You will need your "A" game to shoot below your handicap.

A fun course to play.

This is not a particularly long course (6,150 yards from the back tees). There are some uphill and downhill holes where your drive will need to be accurate to find the fairway and avoid trees and /or hazards. You will also need to gauge your distance control as there are many downhill and uphill approach shots. The defense of this course is its many small undulating and quick greens. Overall, a fun course to play.
